Shinders

So...

I'm not usually too up-to-date on the news, but from what I hear
Shinders is or has closed its doors. Is this true?

Yeah; I got preliminary word at CONvergence with confirmation from a
Misfits Officer this morning.

The next Misfits of Gaming will be somewhere other than Shinders. I
may use my home at 3942 2nd Street NE, Columbia Heights, MN 55421 if
I cannot get another place. I plan on speaking with Twin City Comics
about it since they have a very large gaming space.

Not at all! I love the Source! I just thought that we're already
relying upon them for the Source Room on the 22nd floor. To me, it
feels a bit like we're imposing.

Burl and the guys over there are really great; I enjoy their company
and their store!

I haven't offended anyone, have I?

I just spoke with Twin Cities Comics owner, Jay, about the first
Sunday in August and he said it would be fine...

It would be cool if we could do it at The Source or some place else in Minneapolis/St. Paul. My husband and I don't have a car, and to get to Twin Cities Comics it's an hour and a half commute by bus each way, and we'd have to leave by 7. If this isn't do-able, I understand - we'll just suck it up and take the bus.

I'll be at The Source tommorow gettin my Munchkin on-everybody PLEASE
come if you can- and I'll talk to the guys about it. They should be cool
with it. DUnno how many meetings I'll be able to make because I may have
to spend my Sundays at another game store but that will be because I AM
EMPLOYED AGAIN! H U Z Z A H! Games by James baby YEAH!

Y'know, I hadn't thought about that...

Now, I've already asked and gotten permission from Jay -the owner of
TC Comics- but I'm sure he'll understand if we move it to a more
central location after this first time. I honestly hadn't thought
about location.

And, seriously, I hope no one at the Source thinks I'm snubbing them!
I really think they're the greatest! <blushes>

Ok, I may be getting paranoid in my old age, but does anyone think I
may have caused a difficulty?

Talk to who about it? The Source guys? Well, if you can ask them,
that would be great ... although not for August. I've already gotten
us a place at Jay's store, TC Comics.
