the old saying goes something like:
those who bend over to pick up the pennies miss the dollars flying
overhead.
what do you think about that theory?
moi?
i think that time is the far more valuable resource.
how you spend each second is way more important than how you spend
each penny.
and the same value judgment as applies to your earnings.
to me, money is time, not the other way around.
for instance, when i look at a price tag on something, i immediately
convert it into minutes (or hours) and THEN i consider whether i'm
willing to spend that much on the item or service.
your thoughts?
...
let me guess, you believe that you do that intuitively anyway.
that you already have a good grasp of the value of a dollar.
but do you?
if you did, you would know roughly how many pennies you make per
minute and how they would actually sound if they were dropping into a
large bucket while you were billing out your time to your employer or
your customers or whomever.
...
-$Zero...
petty minds, petty cash.

Reminds me of the story/joke they told about Bill Gates. At one time,
he was making so much money, if he dropped a $500 bill, it wouldn't be
worth his time to pick it up.
