apparently, according to biblical scholars and whatnot,
Jesus was actually born on (or near) September 29th, 2 BC.
so instead, they now say that December 25th was the day He was
conceived.
in any case, that whole "wisemen bringing gifts" thinger is a bit
inaccurate.
at least timewise, if nothing else.
unless they did actually show up just after the conception.
but then, the nativity scenes that everyone gets all
bent out of shape about would be a bit inaccurate.
anyway, this wasn't really a rant, as you can plainly see.

Faith is the only certainty.

That star thing? Was either 2 BC or 4 AD. Was no star. Was most likely
a planetary conjunction. It was an add in.

It was Feb 21, 302 AD at precisely 2310 hrs (EST). I read it somewhere.

Jupiter and Venus.
Some say September 11th, six months after the birth of John the Baptist.
Whatever happened to 4 B.C., the year I always heard?
According to Grant Matthews -- astrophysicist quoted in an AP article,
"Sky-High sign of the time" which I can't seem to locate online but
opened up to it in the newspaper immediately after reading Skipper's
post. How amazing it that? -- here are the most probable dates of Jesus'
birth:
June 17, 2 B.C. (my granddaughter's birth month and day) when Jupiter
and Venus were conjunct in Leo.
or
Feb. 20, 6 B.C. (my birth month and day) when Mars, Jupiter, Saturn were
conjunct in Pisces.
or
April 17, 6 B.C. (one day after my father's birth month and day, so
let's make it April 16) when the moon, Jupiter, Saturn were conjunct in
Aries, with Mars and Venus hanging out in close proximity.
4 B.C. was the first year Lawrence Welk was on PBS.
