the best thing about being a writer -- part XV

it's helping someone feel better about an annoying undeserved
adversity.

(ideally, to the point that the adversity is no longer a burden).

...

likewise, the reverse also rates quite high.

(assisting someone in feeling worse about an adversity which they
fully deserve).

but it does not rate quite nearly as high as helping those who are
undeserving of a particular adversity.

though the former is much easier to accomplish, by far.

and so, it's much more in fashion.

fashion's the wrong word.

but it will do for now.

...

sometimes the issue of "deserving" is moot.

but only as it applies to the latter.

which is the main difference between "Conservatives" and "Liberals".

Conservatives typically have no intuitive (nor rational) capacity to
distinguish between what is truly deserved adversity and what is not.

regardless, they almost always default to blaming the victim for
everything.

it's part of their twisted ideology.

and more often than not, you'll find Conservatives punishing even
those whom they _know_ to be undeserving of punishment. and with glee.

because, for far too many Conservatives (usually those who claim to be
highly moral), Love is not an entitlement, it's a weapon.

...

that's because most Conservatives are majorly lacking in creativity.

and compassion.

it's a delusion thinger.
