She's got balls! She well hung than most men...
If they are not hiring "qualified female writers", then what kind of "female writers" have they
been hiring?
Pretty clear from the way this one talks, it's not the kind with a
sense of humor. Hard to figure, seeing there really are some mighty
funny women out there doing the stand-up schtick. Maybe they get
better pay on their own? At any rate, this goes way back to Dave's
NBC show, to a time when all these anti-sexist demands had hardly as
yet to come to a low simmer let alone the full boil they've risen to
now.
That's probably the wrong metaphor though when you're talking about
the kind of freeze that such considerations put, not only on the
warmth of the work environment, but the creative process for humor, in
the will to take things anything but seriously Shoot, the constant
jokes about the temperature in the Ed Sullivan theatre is a metaphor
in itself!

This article is bullshit.
She did not create Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
Second, this writer needs to use a dictionary and learn difference in
the meanings of sexism and sexual harassment.

She appears to qualify.
Well to be fair, she raises valid points. How does one define "demeaned"?
Isn't that one of those "eye of the beholder" type of things? I don't care
for that type of wordage in a rule or law myself...but how can we deny there
seemed to be some favoritism there?
I haven't been quick to climb all over Dave about this. You know that. But
I think this is about more than just him. He *is* a very powerful man. I
don't know that he had any intent to do this in a malicious way. But I
think he made a mistake by entering into these relationships...particularly
if it was more than just his playing around with just one or even a couple
of young women. It's understandable that the others would be reluctant to
speak up.
Let's leave out the writer's credentials BTW. She is a professional writer.
Good piece I thought. Dave's not perfect. I hardly found that to be a
hatchet job at all. It was more generally directed and says a lot about all
workplaces really. This is hardly a problem only in Hollywood or the
entertainment industry.
It doesn't mean she 'created' it, it is 'created by', which can mean anything other than "created".
It's Hollywood's way of 'moving someone in front of the line'.
In otherwords, you can work in the mailroom at William Morris Agency, and the next day
you're President of Universal Studios! How does that work? They give you a "created by" credit
somewhere, anywhere...and that qualifies you for The Oscars!!
They will give a three year old a "created by" credit...
So ignore the credits, it don't mean nothin in the outside world...
Credits are bought and sold in Hollywood...you can buy "Producers credits" without producing anything..
The Starmaker
...and i don't want to hear any arguments about this...you understand?
This *is* only a problem in the entertainment industry, (if you understand the problem)...
How many "sexual harasment" suits are filed in Hollywood compared to other industries?
How many "sexual harassment" incidents exist in the entertainment industy compared to other industries?
Do they have "Casting Couches" at Target stores? How about Wall-Mart?
Puleaszszzzeeeee....give me a break, Dano Duck.
The Starmaker
"[Women] certainly don't [apply] in the same numbers as men.
But that's partly because the shows often rely on current (white male)
writers to recommend their funny (white male) writers," she wrote. "I'm
also aware of several worthy females who have submitted material and
never heard back."
I'm just correcting this article that states
"(white male) writers".
They are not (white male) writers. They are Jewish writers.
Eric Stangel, Justin Stangel, Bill Scheft, Steve Young, Matt Roberts,
Tom Ruprecht, Jeremy Weiner, Lee Ellenberg, Joe Grossman and Bob Borden.
What industry outside of the enterainment business has a casting couch?
Pep Boys? McDonalds? Burger King? Dell? IBM?
That 'female writer' has to be talking to lawyers in order to use words
like
'hostile work environment'
Don't tell me sure doesn't have any intent on sueing..I don't want to
hear it.
These news articles are just her lawyers 'testing' the entertainment
world...
like maybe her lawyers are telling her.."Do some news, magazine and TV
shows and let
see what kind of reaction we get...see if you can get work again...see
if they try and balcklist you..
----
Scovell said she was well aware that Letterman and other "high-level
male employees" were rumored to have sexual relationships with female
staff members, whom she believed benefited professionally from their
office affairs. Needless to say, the work environment was rife with
tension.
"Did these female staffers have access to information and wield power
disproportionate to their job titles? Yes," Scovell wrote. "Did that
create a hostile work environment? Yes. Did that make me feel demeaned?
Completely. Did I say anything at the time? Sadly, no."
The Starmaker
Number one, women should not be in the work place..they belong behind a
kitchen stove, bare
foot and pregnant.
and I wrote:
This *is* only a problem in the entertainment industry, (if you
understand the problem)...
my remark is for those "who understand the problem'...
I'm perfectly aware of sex at the workplace...I thought I invented it!
(when I used to be at a workplace, I was having sex with girls who were
getting married the
next day..)
A workplace is no place for a women.
And if your husband wants to use his workplace for a harem and a dating
serive, it's none of
your business!
You business is being behind the kitchen stove.
I appologize if I sound like a male chauvinist pig, I just am one.
Men weren't meant just to have only one woman at a time...
So, there was no reason for you to divorce him, you were just
misinformed about men...
The Starmaker
Wow. There's still someone that hasn't killfiled "Starmaker"? Dumb shit
isn't worth paying attention to, let alone responding to.
