I'm sure wasting time today. I looked up John Wayne Gacy, the killer clown,
after learning about Johnny Depp's morbid fear of clowns in this newsgroup,
and how he once possessed of a self-portrait by John Wayne Gacy as a clown
(http://www.proz.com/kudoz/598475). I learned a couple of weird facts about
John Wayne Gacy -- he was XYY, that is, he had an extra Y chromosome (the
male chromosome http://devibathory.tripod.com/thebloodonmyhands/id20.html),
a fairly rare genetic condition typically characterized by exaggerated male
characteristics, tallness, severe acne, bad tempers, and slightly lower than
average intelligence (http://www.icomm.ca/geneinfo/xyy.htm), but Gacy had an
IQ of 118(www.handwriting.org/archives/98jan_01.html ) substantially above
average, which would make him extremely rare. Add to that a childhood like
his that characterized by abuse, and it could be a volatile mix, I guess.
Yuck.
