In real time .. How would the NY Police put the Lincoln Back
Together again .. in time to return it to the bad guys. The only
conclusion would have to be ...ANOTHER LINCOLN:) Every
time I think about the moive or see it ...I ask myself How ??

I don't know - but they did it. Remember - that was a true story, with
only the names changed.

In real life, the police may have had the car for a couple of days
before the bad guys claimed it.
The movie is based on real life events, but it is highly dramatized. I
could be wrong, but I don't think there was an armed NYC subway
hijacking with a double shooting murder followed by a high speed car
chase through Brooklyn at anytime in the mid 1960's. It would have made
the news then and still be talked about to this day. The movie is
great, but I think the real life facts played out a bit more slowly.
