Wow, that was nasty. James Cameron is mean. That fan gave it back to
him good, lol.

Skip, I couldn't get the link to work, but I did come across this clip
of Christian Bale on a rampage in the streets of Los Angeles:

If you missed it, here it is on YouTube

Weirdly entertaining. Some commenters are saying that now they won't
pay to see it, as a result of Cameron's rudeness. I guess the
negative impact would be pretty miniscule. When someone snaps as
Cameron did, often some crap of some kind preceded it (wife nagging or
maybe he had to take a dump ASAP and was leaking gas, who knows).

Oh, oh, they're already tweeting about it on twitter, even when the
search term is just James Cameron (2nd link below):

James Cameron definitely made a bad PR move there, whatever kind of
guy he may be.

Such hatred - that is also going to send you to Hell, Skip. Your
attitude will have you burning in eternal damnation. Jesus Christ
tells us to love our enemies, to forgive our enemies, not to hate or
spread hatred. Hey, it's Christmas, so here's a little scripture for
you.

"You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye, and a tooth for
a tooth.' But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone
strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if
someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak
as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.
Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who
wants to borrow from you."
>From Matthew 5:38-42

"But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who
hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If
someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. Give
to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do
not demand it back. Do to others as you would have them do to you."
>From Luke 6:27-31.

See? You are going to burn in hellfire for all of eternity!

Merry Christmas!

Hey thank, Bill. I didn't know you were on the nominating committee.

Pretty good sermon at Midnight Mass on this subject. The priest brought
up the fact that old biddies used to whine about an unmarried mother
attending Mass. That it was a bad influence on their daughters. He said,
on the contrary, it was a good example -- she was attending Mass after
all. The sermon was based around "He who is without sin, let him cast
the first stone." He also mentioned that, if anyone who had ever sinned
couldn't attend Mass, he would have to lead the parade out of the church.

At any rate, to everyone, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy New
Year, Seasons Greetings, etc.

I don't believe either of us are. So I have decided not to cast any
first stones and and not to cloak hatred in religion and not to judge
my neighbor...

My neighbor's *films* are fair game, though. If I see a film I do not
like, I think it's fair to explain why I did not like it, citing
examples from the film. And if someone else loves that film, it is
fair for them to explain why they like it and cite examples to make
their point.

I still have not seen AVATAR due ti a snafu, so I am not commenting on
it. I do not know James Cameron, and even if I did I would not pass
judgement on him - not my job.

Merry Day After Christmas!

Happy New Year to you also. I also like this priest, he has a really
good heart -- he's a "substitute" because he was recently assigned to
Australia but is still waiting on his visa. His mother lives about 65
miles away, which was why he was in the area. He's been here before a
few times and I've always enjoyed his sermons.

Bully for you. James Cameron is an asshole. This has nothing to do with
religion. He can worship at any mirror he wants.

Joyful Generic Winter Solstice Holiday!

Don't wanna use the "C" word. It might offend.

Yeah, my wife doesn't like it when I use the "C" word either.

But seriously -- I don't know why people get so bent out of shape with
"Merry Christmas."

I'm Jewish. I'm atheist. I seriously couldn't care less.

Every year, people in our neighborhood have a Chri-- oh, sorry no. A
"Holiday" party. I guess because everybody's invited, irrespective of
faith, they don't want to call it a Christmas party -- so mixed in
with all of the Chri -- oh, sorry, the "Holiday" songs they sing, they
trot out the Menorah song -- which I have to tell you, is not a
particularly good song. I have no interest in singing it as one of the
requisite Jews at the party.

Sing Silent Night. Sing White Christmas. Sing Christmas Songs. Let it
be a Christmas party. You can still invite Jews. You can invite
atheists. We'll come. When we have Passover we invite a whole bunch of
non-Jewish friends to sit at our table -- but it's still Passover.

Just let it be what it is. Really, it's fine. Somebody says Merry
Christmas to me, I'm fine with it. God Bless You is fine.

Any good wishes that anybody wants to send me on behalf of anybody or
anything, seriously -- it's all fine.

It turns out that the guy that riled up James Cameron was a
professional autograph seller. It is hard to tell what preceded the
incident, but after a little bit of research it turns out James
Cameron is known to usually be quite generous in giving out
autographs. The real reason Skip Press doesn't like James Cameron is
because he thinks he's a liberal. For Skip Press, the process is
Identify as Liberal>Find a Reason to hate that person>Publicly attack
for any reason other than the real reason (which is that Skip Press
thinks that person is a Liberal.

Thanks for reaching into my mind and showing me what a completely

The reason I don't like Cameron is because he is an ASSHOLE and I have
numerous instances to site of real mutual friends. The reasons you
don't like that is because he's your soul brother and you can't stand
it that I have real instances to cite.

Nice try, sweetie. Maybe next year Santa will bring you a soul for
Christmas.

Because the reaction is funny. Those goobers spend most of their time
railing against the shit I like, cigarettes, weed, rap, horror movies,
porn, booze, and we dont really say anything about it. We started the
war on Christmas to get even. In truth we love Christmas, we just
wanted to get really weeded and laugh while "they" got redfaced. It
worked too, but after a couple years we just weren't that motivated
anymore to continue with it, most of us moved on to Twitter.
