Rapid Transit in K-W

It's time.

Kitchener-Waterloo needs a light rail transit line. Eventually it will
go to Cambridge Terminal but for now it will be from Conestoga Mall in
Waterloo to Fairview Mall in Kitchener. With a rapid bus line to
Cambridge from Fairview Mall.

The naysayers don't think we need one: it's too expensive, not enough
ridership, it won't work with other vehicles, etc.

The Ontario and Federal Government's are will to help with the costs
up to 2/3. It is better to take these funds and build this for now and
for the future. If we wait, the funding may not be there and the costs
will just get greater down the road.

Cambridge is crying that they don't get the light rail immediately and
at the same time are saying that we don't need it.

As a bus driver, I see the need as traffic increases and running times
increase. Light rail will have priority and the speed to get to main
terminals fast. Unfortunately, I am near retirement and will likely
not be able to drive one of the LR vehicles.
