I was wondering if anyone has yet heard this network:

http://www.airamericaradio.com/pub/globalDefault.htm

If so, is it the piece of crap I've heard it is?

I heard they were off the air in a contractual dispute? I listened for the
first few days, but I can only handle so much liberalism. Ed Shultz has the
best show, but I'm not sure he is part of Air America. He is on the liberal
channel on XM though.

I don't think XM accepts food stamps, so that rather limits their
potential audience. I don't see why even a die-hard liberal would
expect the latest liberal network to do better than the last half-dozen
liberal networks which are in decline. When it fails, they'll tell us
we're not worthy of their talent.

They don't seem to be able to keep an audio stream online. I guess
their hemp-powered server is not as reliable as the ones sold by running
dog capitalists.

To infer the others are not upfront or dishonest, is dishonest in
itself. None of the big politcal commentators on the right are or ever
have pretended to be something they are not which is rather in contrast
with some media elements that do pretend to be neutral.

Personally I think it is refreshing that a liberal media outlet makes
their case in the open. Having a successful show is another issue, the
broadcast business is not a easy one and many people without regard to
their political leaning have failed.

Yes. I wasted 2 hours of my life listening to it and I want them
BAAAAAACK!!!!
</Hans Moleman>

XM created a whole new channel just for them. And they renamed the other
talk channel so now you have "America Right" and "America Left" next to each
other. Cute.

It sounds like college radio--Bad.

I tried listening to Al Franken the first day it aired on XM. I thought
listening to the "other side" would help me to understand them better. I
found myself pounding the steering wheel while driving down the road and
yelling at the top of my lungs within 30 minutes. So I've banned myself from
listening to that crap anymore.

As a Conservative, I'm all for them airing their beliefs! Let the American
people hear for themselves what the DNC (or at least it's supporters) really
believe. It will do nothing but ensure that Bush gets reelected.

It is not a piece of crap at all. I listen to it all day long on XM. It
is the greatest radio station I have ever heard. Al Franken gets me turned
on like I don't know what. I cannot wait to vote for John Kerry. Hell, I
may even vote more than once of him. You can do that here in WI.

I had high hopes of actually being able to vote for someone I liked this
year, but Edwards didn't make it. So again this year its trying to figure
out the lesser of two evils.
What scares me is the likes of George Soros supports Kerry. Nether Kerry
nor Bush give a rats ass about the working man, both support NAFTA, both
support the world trade meetings and open trade at any expense, and the
rich, because with out the rich peoples money, they don't go anywhere, and
anyone who thinks otherwise has got his/her head buried deep in something,
be it the sand or posterior.
Kerry is anti military, as a veteran that worry's me. He's anti gun, as a
sport shooter and strong believer in the Second Amendment, that worry's me.
As a believer in the First Amendment, Kerry's support of so called
Bi-partisan Campaign Reform Act of 2001 scares me. The lobbying for this
act was sponsored by Soros, and the legal fight to stop the Supreme Court
from ruling the parts that covered broadcasting ads pro issues as
unconstitutional was paid for by Soros as well.. What this act has done is
made it illegal for groups such as the Teamsters, NRA, OOIDA, or most any
other group from airing ads on issues that are not groups that fit what the
IRS calls "527s" Soros on the other hand has set up numerous "527s" and is
pouring hundreds of millions of dollars into them. His three greatest goals
are defeat Bush, ban guns, and the furthering of what he calls "open
society" under which national sovereignty is subjugated to global
"democracy".
Bush has issues that worry me and scare me as well. And those voters who
vote based on "anyone but" scare me even more.

And nor would you want to be, the likelyhood of getting paid a
reasonable rate if any decreases signifficantly depending on the
severity of poverty.

Actually, if you want real liberal radio, next time you are west of the
rockies at night, tune to AM810. Its a San Francisco station that is
truly liberal, If you've the stomach for it, you will actually get the
liberal viewpoint on its many issues, both local and national.

Just be ready to disengage about 80% of your intellect so you can folow
the "logic", or lack thereof.

I live out here in the west. Often when driving across Oregon at night
AM810 is one of the few radio stations that does come in well most all of
the time.

There is this guy on 810 named Bearnie Ward (I think) that is quite the
liberal idiot.

You really must disengage most of your brain to follow what he's saying.

What did you expect? It is bought and paid for (with bounced checks, I
might add) radio, from people who do not have the consumer in mind.
The reason it sucks is because the liberals do not have any core values,
and Americans (the consumers) do.

Midnight, California time, on Sat and Sun KGO puts Dr. Bill Wattenberg
on the air for 3 hours. He's brilliant, former/current nuke weapon
engineer, and pretty conservative. He's a little grump with eco and
liberal callers.

If you want to ask someone about sending nuke waste to the sun, using
hydrogen power, making barriers for truck bombs, preventing outbreak of
disease in refugee camps, or any other topic under the sun he's the man.

He has a web site called www.pushback.org.
