Sorry Roger, but I just had to do this.

About a month ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Roger. We hooked up at a
truck stop and had dinner, and got to spend about 5 hours together. I was
rather impressed with him. Very intelligent and polite. We had a good time.
We kept in touch after that, and hooked up again a few weeks later at
another truck stop, and ran together for a couple hours. What he says about
his truck is true. Flat bed, and oversize. I also have to back up Roger's
story about his front page newspaper ad in his home town, as he showed it to
me as proof that he is telling the truth. He's a totally different person
in person, and am glad I have had the opportunity to meet him.

Anyway, I have my fire retardant suit on, so let the flames begin.

Ok, I'll add my 2 cents. If there is one good thing that came from this NG,
it was getting to meet Shawn. Very cool dude with a great sense of humor.

As Dave pointed out a while ago, when Shawn went by the name Humpty, he was
the only person from this NG that I had spoke to. I trusted him enough to
send him a photo of the truck I drove for Amhof and I am glad that I did.

When Shawn was driving through Pennsylvania, he recognized my truck going
the other way. He called me on the CB and surprised me. When I answered
him, I surprised him.

The first time we met in person, we had dinner and were allowed to use power
from an outlet, so I could plug in my laptop. I got to show him all sorts
of stuff then.

The second time we met in person, was on my last week with Amhof. Since
were both going about the same direction, we ended up, running together for
part of it.

Shawn is exceptional, a lot of fun and a very courteous driver. I wish
there were more drivers like him.

gpsman,

I can answer that for Shawn. It was because I asked him not to say

Look how people treated "White Trailer Trash" just because he said I
"Sounded like a truck driver."

But, I agree with Shawn, this "wannabe" crap has gone on long enough. If
Dave Smith wasn't so adamant in keeping it alive, it would probably die. He
seems to keep it going more than anybody right now. Everybody knows Dave
Ruff is a BSer, but they don't see that in Dave Smith yet.

That statement alone is a lie. If Roger were the intelligent type, he
would'nt be obsessed with some woman from long ago that never wanted him
anyway. Also, an intelligent person would have left a newsgroup where they
were so despised.

Don't forget, Dave Ruff also posted: "He may have a photo since he worked

Dave Ruff still wonders "why" and had to start making up stories. Now I see
that Dave Ruff is kissing up to Dave Smith because he knows Dave Smith will
help him keep his BS going and going.

Dave Smith is an idiot too, even worse than Alpha. Man, with so many idiots

What is wrong with you gpsman??? Are you as afraid to face reality as
realitytrucker, Dave Smith, Jeff/Zčke/Mail Hauler and Dave D. Ruff?

Of course you are and it doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to see that.

The fact remains, the worst I've done was use a "display name" that counted
the number of weeks I'd have, when I drove my truck again, instead of to the
current day.

Since all this fuss is over a display name I've used, I might as well use
any display name I feel like now. I've already paid the time, might as well
do the crime.

And why? Because you choose to believe all Dave Ruff's BS. That makes it
your problem, not mine.

Or maybe you are confusing Jeff/Zčke/Mail Hauler's post with mine. He has a
terrible habit of posting with the exact display name I use and it wouldn't
be the first time he fooled someone.

You are so full of it Dave and you will always be.

Here, let me put it a different way. David D. Ruff, you are an IDIOT.
Remember when you would tell people you could tell a lot about me just
because of my post. You were wrong there and you certainly can't tell about
me from the sound of someone's voice.

Besides, you didn't shut any stories down, you proved them right. I posted
pulled 63' foot trailers to 100'+ foot loads and you proved that there was a
company nearby that does a lot of oversized.
