I have been asked quite a few times about the Truck Parking at one of the
Casinos in the Quad Cities.
http://www.isleofcapricasinos.com/Bettendorf/guestInfo-direction.php

If you follow the instructions they give on their site above, it will take
you to the car parking and not the truck parking. The only thing you have
to change to get to the "Truck Parking" is once you go over the George
Thuenen Bridge (17th St) make a *Right* turn instead of a left turn.

You can view exactly where three trucks are parked by:

1. Go to http://maps.google.com

2. Searching for 41.522489,-90.511110

3. Click on "Hybrid" in the upper right hand corner of the map.

4. Now Zoom in until it will not let you go any further and back one.

5. The arrow should be on one of the three trucks in the truck parking.

Now the Warnings.

That area is used by a Truck Auction every Thursday, so you might have
trouble getting in there Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.

Since the Casino is in the water, the Coast Guard can bitch about Hazmat in
the parking lot.

There has been a case where a Tanker parked under the 74 bridge and some
worry wart managed to close the bridge with one phone call!

Last time I went to the Truck Auction mentioned earlier, I was still pulling
Stretch Trailers so the Tanker was not me.

If you are going west on I74, really North, you can easily look down and see
if there is room to park first.

Want more Photos? I can do that.
