eventually enough Americans will likely vote for a socialist and learn by
experience what history already proves conclusively about socialilsm.
Socialism/communism promises people that if we give you all the basic needs
in life you will be free to produce to your maximum ability. Reality proves
that when people are given all of their basic needs many or most of them
will find less and less reason to work at all. If socialism worked welfare
recipients wold be the most productive and happiest people in the world.
They would have the most calm neighborhoods and best behaved children with
above average test scores since no time would be required to earn a living.
All of their time could be devoted to family bonding and school work. Maybe
if we try socialism for another 100 years and in a few dozen more countries
it will eventually work?

Nobody has said that Obama is just going to open up the government
checkbook and start handing out money to anybody who asks. He is wanting
to give tax relief to working people. I for one would love to have a
little more of my money in my pocket instead of fat ass CEO's. He wants
to cut the tax breaks for wealthy people, who make up a fraction of
wage earners they keep kicking to the curb in favor of workers overseas,
and reduce taxes for people like you and me.
Tell me, did you cash that "economic stimulus package" check you got in
the mail? Wasn't that spreading the wealth around? What's the
difference? I see it no different to a bailout.
Feel free to give back any extra money for your family under Obamas plan

You would have everybody believe that as soon as Jan 21 rolls around,
all Christians and white people will be murdered by radical, turban
wearing freaks in the streets. Riots will break out in major cities.
I still say, humbly, that your grasp of government workings and research
ability is better than mine. But you are wrong about the way I have
formed my opinion in this race, I do not go by what my union has decided
to go by, I go on what I see going on around me. I see people losing
jobs at an epic rate; union and non-union alike. These are jobs that are
going overseas to cheap labor markets, to poor countries where these
people are exploited for their labors. Where companies have little or no
oversight on issues regarding worker safety, environment concerns. I see
people losing homes to foreclosure, and not all of them are by
"deadbeats" as you call them. These are homes lost by folks who saw
their jobs get shipped off to Mexico because Pedro will make that
product for 50 bucks a week. Juarez, Mexico is filled with so called
American Companies
When was the last time you saw the price of a product fall due to
cheaper labor?
A company laysoff hundreds of workers, they say to cut costs and stay
competitive, then rewards the CEO even if the stock value falls with
millions of dollars.
AIG gets a government handout and the top Execs go on a $400,000 trip to
California and stay at some luxery spa.
And you don't see anything wrong in this?????
Afghanistan harbors terrorists that kill thousands of our fellow
citizens with two quick plane rides, we go over there and kick butt on
the Taliban and bin Ladens soldiers and then we are rebiulding the

Oil companies are making tens of billions of dollars profit and we are
paying high gas prices. Their CEOs probably make unreal ammounts of
money and you think that I make too much money because I have the nerve
to be a union member.
The country of Georgia has a dispute with Russia and we send them
boatloads of money in economic aid. You know, a handout, but that is ok?
We have a lot of problems right here in the USA.
How about taking that money from Afghanistan rebuilding, the money from
the Iraq debacle, the money from aid to Georgia.....all of it, and
invest in our problems. Put people, AMERICAN CITIZENS, to work
rebuilding our roads. Rebuilding the crumbling bridges would be a good
start. Invest that money in creating something resembling an alternative
to foriegn oil. My opinion is if we could power our cars with something
other than petroleum that alone would ensure that our domestic supplies
would last us quite some time to come. Not scientific, just an opinion.
And maybe we could give the big fat finger to the middle east and their
friggen oil.

The polls are tightening up to a statistical dead heat. Some
say obama spent as 6-10 MILLION of our tax dollars for his

Obama. You could get many voters to support communism in the US if you say
"I don't want communism I just want to take all the wealth of the nation and
divide it among the people." This is why it has been so important for so
long that the Left takeover education and media all levels. If you can
control the vocabulary and the knowledge base of the voters you can get them
to support any idea, including one as thoroughly discredited as socialism.
You promise that only the rich will pay and all the rest will get the
benefit, even if that always means the rich leave or move their weatlth and
those left behind fight over smaller and smaller crumbs. It doesn't matter
if everyone says they don't want that to happen. If you implement those
policies that always lead to this outcome you will always get that outcome.
It doesn't matter if we all get together and decide this time it will be
different. It doesn't matter how sincerely we don't want that outcome to
happen. It doesn't even matter if the agreement is universal. If you
implement socialist plans you get the same socialist outcome.

times. I love learning, get bored easily so I have wound up getting
involved and then leaving many very different fields. I jumped into
trucking because it was my backup plan when my original career plan crashed.
I found I liked it, then got my current driving job where I'm home each day
and have a regular life. The one thing I didn't like about driving trucks
when I started years ago was the isolation and then the internet came along
and I was able to use it to get radio programs, college courses, and
audiobooks in unlimited amounts. Now I can drive each day and learn while
I'm working. There is hardly any subject besides chemistry and art that I
don't find fascinating. If a subject seems boring at first I've learned
it's only because I'm not looking at it the right way.
