We had two incidents of geese in lanes on the I-15 freeway here in
Salt Lake.
One of the incidents is seen on video, two geese with goslings near
the U-175 exit (114th South), with motorcyclists and potentially one
UHP car assisting. They walked down until they could take an exit and
that may have been either 114th or 123rd South (U-71)
The highway patrol could not respond as they were busy with other
calls, one in fact was yet more geese just north of the 'Nest of
Vipers' stacj interchange.
They are not sure why geese at 114th South, but the 'Nest of Vipers'
has some ponds throughout the area the interchange covers, and there
are railroad tracks as well, the Roper Trainyards, the Frontrunner
Commuter Rail line, and TRAX all run through that along with the
freeways themselves and the associated ramps, plus at least two
surface roads.
KSL story, with video.
