Boeing delivers the 777th 777 !

56 customers have ordered just over 1,100 777s. (Average of just over 19
aircraft per customer).

Why, what's the real history...?
It sort of pissed me off when Northwest (RIP) put out various material
about their history for their (80th?) anniversary a while ago, and
entirely omitted their long use of the name "Northwest Orient" -- NWO
always seemed to me to be a much cooler name than the pedestrian
"Northwest", and an interesting facet of their history.

I was refering to Boeing claiming it had relationship with Air France
dating back to the days of AF buying DC-3s.
Air France had purchased DC3s from a Boeing competitor. But Boeing's
purchase of McD allows it to claim that Air France had purchased from
Boeing.
