NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C., Nov. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Boeing (NYSE:
BA - News) today held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of
construction for the second final assembly site for the 787 Dreamliner
program at its Boeing Charleston facility. The facility also will have
the capability to support the testing and delivery of airplanes.

Has there been any media coverage of the decision process to choose
Charleston over a Washington state location ? Last I had heard. Boeing
was considering a second assembly line. Now, they've begun to build one.

The big question is whether this second line will truly raise production
rates, or if it is needed to meet the original rates because Boeing ha
grossly underestinated the amount of work needed to assemble a 787.
Remember that Boeing said it would only take 3 days for final assembly
of a 787.
