Wow, that will be greate for me. On eBay I sell new and reconditioned
geiger counters and pocket dosimeters (and their chargers).
I also recondition and sell all 'vacuum tube' radio communications
equipment (the trasmitters are already subject to FCC licensing and
regulation).

Actually, most of the sales of the radiation detection equipment are
to airline personnel, and to survivalists in Montana and similar
locales. This is a niche market.

On the other hand, if geiger counters were prohibited from ownership
by NYC residents, that could easily created a new demand that could
multiply my selling price by many times.

Damn, I hope they pass this restriction. New Jersey and PA are no more
than an hour away from NYC.

Of course this is silly! :-)

Silly perhaps, dangerous, definitely.

This is just another prohibited item, contraband, that Socialists can
use to intimidate, ruin and enslave, characterized by more SWAT raids,
break-ins, kidnappings and confiscation under color of law.

Government is fast becoming irrelevant except for its power to endanger
the public.

I already have a geiger counter.
Comes in handy when trying to find atom bombs, dirty bombs, etc.
