Saw an article in the paper about how unfair it is that joint
filers who don't both have SSN get no check. I can see some cases
where they should probably give the single payment, but they
gave the example of the guy here on an H-1B visa (I assume,
or perhaps he is green card) and the foreign
wife with TIN. He should be happy we let him in the country to
take an American's job, and not complain about (not) getting a
check.
