READY FOR PEAK OIL?

Preparing for a decline in oil supplies requires long-term emotional,
financial and physical adjustments. Here are five ways to get started:

Pay off debts and increase savings.
Higher oil prices will trigger layoffs and downsizing in many
industries.
Cut back on driving when possible. Carpool, telecommute, bicycle and
walk.
Eat local foods.
Products transported from hundreds of miles away may become scarce and
expensive.
Slow Food Piedmont Triad has a local food guide at www.slowfoodpiedmont.org.
Increase your home’s energy efficiency.
Build community with your friends. Share your ideas, resources and
manpower.

Kathy McMahon, a clinical psychologist, offers tips for the “peak oil
aware” at www.peakoilblues.com

Dang!!

Some ten years ago I wrote about and accurately predicted that the
above would soon happen. But fools such as the menial / mendacious and
absolutely useless Paul A. Thomas, "CPA" from Athens, Georgia swore up
and down that "Ï" was a "Doomsayer"and that all should ignore my
various message.

That poor twit, if able to feed itself as "Peak Oil" denies the rest
of America the "Lo-Cost Fertilizers" without which millions will live
lives of quiet desperation, shall then have to answer to those who he
deceived into believing that "Sustainable Growth" was possible.

That poor and useless toady omitted to say that America need but be
willing to use its nuclear and other weapons of mass murder in order
to secure the oil without which its unsustainable "Lifestyle" is truly
NOT negotiable.

Ergo:

Due to the lies, obfuscation and other deceptions practiced by that
sick sort of mendacious bastards, America is UNPREPARED to feed itself
and will suffer a fate similar to that of the USSR.

INDEED!!

See: "Keeping Fed" at http://cluborlov.blogspot.com/2008/04/keeping-fed.html

and also see "Chicago families face mounting economic hardship" as
found at:

http://www.wsws.org/articles/2008/jul2008/chic-j09.shtml

Poor líl paul toady . . . . .

Due to the greed of his constatnly lying and ever grasping sort, the
majority of Americans will starve to death or die at their neighbors
hands as "HUNGER" drives millions of "Fellow Americans" to do what
they believe they must in order to "survive".

Truly: That poor and self-deceived toady should be aware that
thousands of those rendered destitute due to the lies and deceptions
of his sad sort shall then find and then maim and murder all whose
special lies, based on self-interest, caused that still ignorant
majority to ignore the facts that were there for the having, if they
cared to look.

Poor líl toady. You poor fool.

When your neighbors come calling on you and lead you to a local park
to stuff a stick up your "Fed" loving ass, try to remember that I long
ago suggested that you start to "Think!".

Of course, you could always blame me for failing to acknowledge that
your sad and ever so sick sort would never dare to "Think", especially
if such might cause you to abandon your position as an Fed / IRS bag-
licker.

However, poor fool:

I always stated that I recognized your inability to so "Think".

ERGO, poor fool:

You should now do your best to ingratiate yourself to the dummy in the
WhiteHouse, or offer to do him in for whichever interests might be
willing to promise you a "Safe Haven" as America's starving millions
seek to "Get Even!" with all of your sick sort who continuously
claimed and asserted that no one had a duty to "Think" and to thereby
develop the intellectual capital permitting them to recognize and act
on their lawful duty to refuse to aid, abet or otherwise support or
pay taxes to societies that were (and remain) party to plans and
preparations that are predicated on a will and capacity to mass murder
millions.

Dang it Líl paul toad!!

You've "Made my Day!" . . . once again.

To a safer, saner and more caring society (Without any of your sad and
truly sick sort.).

To Duty.

google peak oil. Let me know what your questions are. Bottom line is
they know how much oil is left in the world. They know where all the
remaining oil fields are. All significant ones are developed. They
can calculate the volume of the earth and they know what percentage of
that is oil. They know we passed peak productivity and all major oil
fields in the world are in decline.

those are the facts. Look it up.

They hardly know where all the oil is.

If they did..we wouldnt be having new finds occuring every week.

Rather than read the doomers whines, how bout reading the industry
periodicals?

Oil and Gas News for example?

As a note, before you wind up and start pissing down your leg that
they are propaganda rags..they are for those inside the industry, not
for the public.

so why don't you post the numbers Mr. Smartypants? Post how many
recent finds there are and just how much they will be able to produce.
Don't forget to factor in how many days it will take the world to use
up those new finds. Simple fact is they KNOW where all the MAJOR oil
fields are. How do they know this? Because people who understand
science (unlike you) actually understand the conditions in which oil
was produced. They know the locations on the planet that meet those
conditions because of NATURAL SCIENCE. You know, the stuff you
wingers don't want us teaching kids because you don't want people to
be able to think for themselves. WE ARE PAST PEAK OIL. Oil
production is IN FACT in decline worldwide. Look it up. Post some
real numbers. You won't because it doesn't say what you want it to
say.

Over or under supply and peak oil are different concepts which have no
necessary relationship to each other.

In Colorado's Oil shale alomne there is saufficientoil to take care of our
needs for over 100 years. That alone makes the peak oil argument worthless.

However, the existance of that oil does not affect either supply or price
since 1) Our laws prohibit its exploitation. There is enough oil off our
coasts to also render the peak oil argument the nonsense it is.

Unfortunately, our laws also prohibit its expoitation so that vast
storehouse of oil isn't affecting our or the world's supply or price

Of course, our laws are not stopping from Mexico drilling and finding oil in
the Gulf, nor China from finding and expoiting oil close enough to Florida
to illustrate the stupidity of our restrictive laws.

In short "peak oil" is as moronic as the Club of Rome's predicting the world
was going to run out of every resource by the 1990's.

the component you are missing is that the cost of extracting that oil
is enormous. Wouldn't expect you rightards to actually be able to
grasp reality. Oh, sure, the stuff is there. Wouldn't expect you to
be able to actually grasp the concept of getting the shit out of the
ground.

Shell says it can extract oil from shale for $30/bbl.

As for the peak oil myth:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coal
Estimated to last another 147 to 285 years.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_gas
Estimated to last another 200+ years.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tar_sands
"Oil sands may represent as much as 2/3 of the world's total petroleum
resource."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synthetic_crude
Made from coal, gas, tar sands, waste plastics and biomass (including
raw sewage).

I didn't even include crude oil reserves (known or not) or nuclear
fission. But if our governments could see fit to pay our scientists a
little more money in the next couple hundred years:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fusion_power
Which has the potential to last 150 BILLION years (and remember that
the Earth is only 4 billion years old!!!).

So we're not running out of fuel in the near future, and will NEVER
run out of fuel -IF- we get off our asses and push our governments to
develop nuclear fusion -before- we absolutely need it.

Yeah, I had someone tell me last year that oil would never go over
$60/bbl. because that was what it cost to extract it. Have you looked
at oil prices lately?

The village idiot, Paul (D'Moron) Maffia, has done it! Again!!

He actually invites commentary pointing out his many deficiencies and
his need to resort to lies and his "beliefs" about "Peak OIl" and such
as the book "The Limits To Growth". (Which was commisioned by the Club
of Rome and written by a group of authors, the lead author being
Donnella Meadows.)

If that poor twit and insecure liar will take time to ever "Read" that
book, it shall find that there are no predictions as he would have his
sad, sick and truly similar sort (Idiots all !) believe.

Indeed:

Idiot, please read the book and refer us to the page number and
chapter wherein we, purportedly, shall be able to find "predictions"
that such as your sick sort (You sick wacko.), state are there for all
to read.

You can't do it, twit. You can't do it because there are NO such
predictions in that book.

Now, twit, tell the world why you failed to develop intellect,
integrity, principles and spine sufficient to act on your lawful duty
to refuse to support a society that would commit mass murder, "If Need
Be!" in order to secure the oil and other natural resources without
which such as your sick sort (Boasting that "America's Lifestyle is
Non-Negotiable!") fall flat on your obese and overfed asses; and
identifies you for what you choose to be: A sick and muddled headed
idiot that believes it has a right to lie in order to support its
useless and insupportable beliefs.

What an idiot you are! By admitting that the problem to access the oil we
know exits in vast quantities is cost, you admit that "peak oil" is merely a
moronic slogan perpetrated by morons like you a Lavigne.

Idiot, cost is always a factor. And as long as society is willing to pay the
cost, "peak oil" can be put off indefinitely.

But that requires at least a modicum of intelligence to understand. A
quality sorely lacking in your pea brain.

The depths of your inability to think is phenominal

Let me see. The likes of Chuck Shumer were telling us 10 years ago that it
was a waste of time to develop Anwar and exploit the shale because it would
take 10 years to have any affect.

But if he and his felow boobs had allowed development to begin, it would be
coming on-line today. and that would have had an ameliorating affect on
price NOW!

So you are now arguin, likje they did then, that we sholuld noit bother
because it will take 15 years for us to obtain any benefit.

Do you even get a glimmer of the stupidity content of your statement?

> So, they missed it by a couple of decades. So did Orwell.

Orwell's predictions are still fantasy, except to idiots like you.

hey, asswipe, get a fucking clue. The problem is not an immediate end
to oil, it's an immediate end to CHEAP oil. It's a bell curve moron.
We have passed peak, but there still is about half of total production
left in the world. The problem is Peckerwood, that as production
drops off price will skyrocket without something else to take it's
place. Especially with demand being exponential. So yea, the problem
IS with cost. Cost is an essential component to the equation. And if
you weren't an idiot right winger then you might actually understand
the problem.
