I was hoping this group could help, I have been negoating
with the IRS and have done an offer in comprise on my own
and it was denied. I was thinking about going with the
company JK Harris, any good or bad comments or can you
recommend someone that I trust to do a good job and they
know what they are talking about?

I have some knowledge after doing the offer in compromise.

STRESSED IN VA.

Bad idea. From what I've read, they will take your money
before they do anything, and then won't do anything. Go to
someone local who has experience in OIC's.

I know of a retired IRS Revenue Officer who worked many
collection cases with JK Harris involvement. In his
experience, Harris had a 100% record of ALWAYS taking the
taxpayer's money up front but NEVER seeing a case through to
resolution.

I'll second that observation......

I has been my long-standing policy that deragatory comments
about tax services will not be posted. However, there is
overwhelming evidence that compells me to consider these
comments to be reasonable assertions.

I'll offer no opinion of tax services you see advertised in
this area other than I wouldn't go near one.

Before you pursue this further, why was your offer rejected?
If you're sitting with cash in the bank sufficient to pay
what you owe, the IRS isn't going to accept an offer no
matter who presents it to them.
