History shows us that many people change their opinions when something
bad happens in thier lives.

Gabby was pro gun (or at least she said she was) prior to the Tucson
shootings.

Being shot is a significant game changer.

Wanna bet that Gabby has a change of heart about guns..and the laws
that control them?

I have a response to this, but it is really tasteless. And I can't bring
myself to say it out loud.

Yeah I know what you mean. I used to be on the fence about illegal
aliens, This being the land
of the free and opportunity and all. My ancestors came over on a boat
from Ireland not that long
so I could sort of understand why they wanted to be here....Then one
of them came blaring thru a stop
sign drunk out of his mexican mind and into the side of my fully
restored 1966 Mustang, totaling it
and putting me in the hospital for several days....No insurance, no
licsence, never showed up in court.
Yeah, changes like then tend to make you see things a lot more clearly

My bet is that when Gabby comes around it won't be wishing for
stricter gun control. She'll be wishing
that there was someone at the scene that could have taken the guy down

If your mother was kidnapped at knifepoint by three negras, thrown in
the trunk of a Buick with 24 inch spinners, driven to the other side of
the tracks where she was raped, sodomized her throat slashed and left
to bleed to death by her kidnappers. The perps were caught, they
confessed and DNA evidence supported their confession would you all of
a sudden hate blacks and be for the death penalty?

Keep in mind that Gabby was on the other side as a state legislator.

"It is less well known that as a state legislator, she favored
restrictions on guns in Arizona. Her NRA grade was a D."

I love being better informed than the opposition!

Actually...most of it was the result of being in the wrong place at the
wrong time. and most of those happened to me before the age of 30.

Which on reflection..simply shows why guys from the age of 15-30 have
the highest death rates in the US....

Rodeo...those injuries were the result of having more balls than
brains and happened AFTER the age of 30....long after I got too damned
old for that sort of foolishness.

But after thinking about it for a minute or two...I was having fun
during most of the injuries...Nam included.

Now that Im an old man...I look back..and shudder....brrrr....
Crom looks out for fools and the insane..and I was both until I got
older.

Shrug again.

You're dating yourself here. <g>

The Bell Iroquois (Model 204) was changed from HU-1 (Helicopter,
Utility, 1; which led to the nickname "Huey") was changed to UH-1 in
September of 1962.The A, B and C Models were the Model 204; the
stretched cabin Model 205 began with the UH-1D Model in 1963. The
UH-1N ushered in the twin-engined Model 212.

Also: the 205 Huey is alive and well and; in "refurb" mode as the H
Model `Huey II':
<http://www.bellhelicopter.com/en/aircraft/military/bellHueyII.cfm>

BTW: I was Product Assurance for Bell Helicopter/Textron for years;
left when laid off after the Ayatollah Khomeini "nationalized" Bell
Iran (the producer of the 214A Isfahan), and then losing the USCG
"Short Range Recovery Helicopter" contract to Aérospatiale (now:
American Eurocopter), which produced the H-65 "Dolphin" SRRH.

Oh, WELL <DEEP sigh>

Hunting accident: and, "NO!"; it wasn't with Dick Cheney! <g>

Hunting partner screwed up and fired into a tree, shooting at dove.

Guess who was _behind_ that tree?

BTW: it shook him up so badly that he never went hunting again.

Bullshit!

#1. The mere presence of LE would probably have deterred him.
#2. If he did decide to let loose, he wouldn't have gone through a 33

paying attention.

So at the end of the day, Sheriff Numnuts accuses himself and all LE

I don't share his opinion.

She may very well end up being a semi conservative vegetable.

Then the NRA can wheel her drooling body out for their pro gun shows.

Why not..Sarah Brady has been doing that for years. Old man Brady wasnt
at all in favor of gun control..yet he has been hoist like a used condom
by his wife ever since that Leftist bitch shot him and Reagan.

Never trust a Leftist with a gun..they ALWAYS go on killing sprees.

175,000,000 murdered in the last 90 yrs alone are simple proof of that

Backfired?

How has it backfired?

It is common for discussions to go off on tangents...it is one of the
good things of Usenet.

It does not change for a minute the fact that Pro Gun Gabby may very
well become Gabby the Gun Grabber.

And it does not change that new gun laws are coming.

And your comments tell us you do not give a damn for any one of the
Americans who were murdered by a crazy ass conservative.

I pity your family for the burden you are to them.

Gabby has less than 10% AT BEST to achieve anything that approaches
normal..she long will be an example of what conservatives are when

Making lots of money is overrated. Any fool can do it. If they
couldn't, the world would be full of nothing but smart people, like
Conservatives.

Don't believe it? Tell me you don't know a fool or two with more money
than you. TMT may have lots of money from his dildo cleaning
operation, but all his money could never pay for the brain transplant
he would need to make him normal. It's all relative, and TMT sleeps
with all his relatives.

the answer he was looking for, but...
