Actually...most of it was the result of being in the wrong place at the
wrong time. and most of those happened to me before the age of 30.
Which on reflection..simply shows why guys from the age of 15-30 have
the highest death rates in the US....
Rodeo...those injuries were the result of having more balls than
brains and happened AFTER the age of 30....long after I got too damned
old for that sort of foolishness.
But after thinking about it for a minute or two...I was having fun
during most of the injuries...Nam included.
Now that Im an old man...I look back..and shudder....brrrr....

I rode two HU-1s into the ground. Two Hueys. About 6 months apart.
One was the result of a blade strike on a large tree from a very small
clearing..the other as a result of the pilot loosing his head and the
copilot having to wipe it out of his eyes too close to big..big rocks in
the Highlands...also on take off.
The second one was why I had back surgery some years later..but only
partially..it started the damage to my back...other DUMB stuff finished
the job.
Those air crashes are the reason I became Buddhist btw.

Actually if you ponder that for a bit, it does have an answer. Probably not

Remember that words are supposed to have specific meanings, to have law
that citizens can live by we should all agree on what things mean.
Assault rifle? What the hell is that? A made up word.
The fellow convicted of being in possession of a class III without a
license becuase gis AR slamfired. A mechanical failure that it took the
BATFE lab 6 months to duplicate.
Some words would appear to mean whatever the person with the gun and the
jail cell to fill what it to mean.
If you think about the lies and inconsistencies of our government to much I
suppose you could go mad.
