Victor Davis Hanson is a noted writer from the Central Valley. He
is a history professor at California State University, Fresno (you
know, the guys that have defeated everyone they've played so far
this football season - Go 'Dogs!) and also has written about farm
life. Limbaugh went on at length about him today. He has a
couple of interesting articles in well known publications on the
web about the American war on terrorism.

I glanced at one of them. Chuckle. Not in my dad's reality, and I
trust not in yours either. When the going gets tough the tough get
going. But going where ? That is a tricky question. Do you treat the
symptoms like some stupid "doctor". Or do you invoke "An ounce of
prevention is worth a pound of cure" like an engineer? I trust that
the US government is going after the root causes of the problems
rather than tossing water onto an oil fire, spreading the blaze.....

Prof. Hanson seems to believe that it will be possible for the
U.S. to win The War on Terrorism. I hope he's correct, because we
sure as hell are going to try it.

Unfortunately the current "War on Terrorism", as was shown by the
Clinton administration, is a continuing war on the American people
and their way of life.
