Anyone know if President Obama intends to perform background checks on the Syrian rebels before providing them weapons?

WTF is Cruz's problem?? In the first place, he's a Canadian so it's
none of his business. In the second place, he needs to start with
Gramps McCain who is the one who forced Obama's hand. Without Gramps'
trip to Syria where he met with kidnappers and murderers, there would
be no US aid to these thugs.

Cruz was also born of an American mother while she and Cuban father were
working in Canada. He's surely as much of an American as Obama ;)

That you have nothing worthwhile to contribute here is abundantly evident.

While Ted Cruz was born while his parents were in Canada working in the oil
business he's is 100% a United States Citizen: his mother was born in Delaware
and his Cuban expatriot father is a naturalized U.S. citizen.

Further; read: "Is Ted Cruz eligible under the Constitution to become

I believe it's long past time for the U.S. to pull all its assets out of the
middle east and let them all go back to killing each other as they have done
for centuries.

If we open all our own oil sources to drilling we wouldn't need the arabs' oil
and they can try drinking it instead of using it to hold us hostage.

Then tell the Chinese to "go pound sand" -- that we aren't going to pay them
another single dollar of our "debt"; that we are pulling all the products they
are producing with their child labor; and that every single piece of property
they "own" in the U.S. is siezed under the power of Eminent Domain; the United
States would be a LOT better off than we are now.

BUT: that goes against the political agenda of the Liberal Socialist-in-Chief
and the Socialist Democrat Party of Amerika.

Apologies.

Understood and I'll watch it. I posted that to all groups because I
have no idea which group on the list the original poster is from and
that's the only way that would-be repliers can delete my (our) home
group.

I'm pretty sure Gunner is in your group and while he has done
worthwhile posts on both survival and machining, he is a leading cross
poster and one of the culprits that lead political debaters to these
groups.

He rarely contributes anything worthwhile on the topic of metalworking, he
mostly just crossposts off topic political garbage and then issues veiled
death threats towards anyone whom he disagrees with.

This happens every month or so, but does nothing except bore those of

For anyone new here, this consists - in it's entirety - of each of
them posting a link (always the same link) to prove the other one is
guilty of various crimes. One of the links includes pictures of two
different people both supposedly the cited usenet offender.

Both links clearly do not apply to the said piss-ees as is obvious
just using internal evidence. But small minds keep thinking someone is

Do have your fun. Don't forget to wash up before you eat because both

Gee, sorry. Do you want some cheese to go with your whine? You do know

times I explained and apologized for this ridiculousness, and encouraged
others who are annoyed by it to simply kill file us both, then?
Also, for the record, I let Ray run on for a very long time slandering

in kind, and I never, ever initiate any of this nonsense. That's all on
Ray. If he stops stalking me online, I'll promptly stop replying in
kind. But since he's been at it for several years now, and is obviously
obsessed with me, I'm not holding my breath.

Got a mouse in your pocket? What "we" are you whining about? Or have
you adopted the Royal we? As to why you should killfile me, don't you
recall complaining about the apparently enormous burden my forcing you
to read my posts, rather then simply clicking through them, imposed upon

See above.
You do seem to spend an inordinate amount of time whining about what,
how and where other people post, but without ever considering you own
occasionally annoying posting habits, of course. So I take it that you
simply enjoy whining about others bothering you far too much to take the
one simple, surefire way to prevent those you're whining about from ever
bothering you again.

Your whining reminds me of the story of the little old lady who called
the town marshal to complain about teenagers skinny-dipping down at the
creek, because she could see them, naked as jaybirds, from her front
parlor window. This being a small country town, the marshal went down
to the creek and told the kids to move on down a bit, so as to not
bother the old lady. They did so, but awhile later, she called back,
complaining that she could still see them from her upstairs bedroom
window. Again, the marshal had the kids move down the creek, this time
making sure they were well out of view from the old lady's windows. He
was therefore rather taken aback when the old lady called a third time,
with the same complaint. He knew the kids had moved completely out of
sight of her windows. Puzzled, he asked her how she could possibly
still be bothered by those kids. Her reply? She could still see them,
from the small window in her attic, using binoculars.

I see you are now reduced to trying to avoid the truth about your own
childishly whiny behavior. You obviously have no rational explanation
of your ongoing whining and sniveling instead of doing the obvious and
mature adult thing here of simply killfiling or ignoring any posts you
don't want to read, or you'd have offered it by now, in response to my
repeated requests. Why is that?

So it appears to me that you're implicitly confirming what your own
posting history already shows: you simply enjoy bitching and moaning
about what, where and how other people post so much that you are
actually seeking out and reading posts that give you any excuse to do
so, instead of ignoring or killfiling them like normal people do.

In addition, you're now topping off that inexplicably juvenile behavior
by resorting to the inevitable loser's tactic of snipping from you reply
that very question which I've put to you. Why is that?

I suppose it's so you feel somehow justified in continuing your
senseless, childish whining instead of acting like a responsible adult.

You are behaving no differently than the little old lady in the attic
with the binoculars, and you know it. That's why you just had to snip
this out before replying to my previous post:

"You do seem to spend an inordinate amount of time whining about what,

Right back at you. Why do you insist on your childish behavior of
spamming off-topic posts into groups that clearly don't want you.

Do you think you have a God given right to be offensive because you
are liberal? Do you think that helps people take you seriously as an

HaHaHaHa!!! That's Keller-level stupid, and laughably ridiculous. I am
not your "abuser." If you need help killfiling me, just ask. I'm sure
there are plenty of folks here that will gladly help you. Then you no
longer need suffer the "abuse" of willingly and voluntarily choosing to
read my posts, despite my repeated suggestions that you simply killfile
me or at least ignore my posts.

Again, I was unmistakably correct about you. You do, indeed, simply
enjoy childishly bitching and moaning about what, where and how other
people post, now laughably inflated into "abuse," so much that you are
actually seeking out and reading posts that give you any excuse to do

Except Ray's zinger was pretty funny and had a certain element of

Clearly not, since the weapons seem to keep ending up in the hands of
pro-Assad militias.

Not if they are from what Stomin' thinks of as the evil other party.
When Bush did it, he thought it was fine, but times change in his

You are absolutely correct. I commented on Stormin' who is a whacko
right wing nut. We have an equal number of whacko left wing nuts too.

Personally, I fail to see how anyone can see one party as always
correct and the other always wrong. I'll give both 10% right, 10% got
part of it right, 10% well meaning but screwed up, and 70% hot
stinkin' BS.

True, but while I've never seen a right winger claim that all
conservatives are good and all liberals are bad, I've seen the opposite.

Remember back to the early days of Bush attacking the wrong country
(Iraq) because they were mean to his daddy and Saddam flew one of the
jets on 9-11.

Anyone that pointed out facts that didn't fit (such as me) or opposed
the war on other grounds (such as me) was asked "why do you hate
America". The Bushites even intimidated the Dems in Congress to go
along for fear of being smeared.

Congress managed to rename French fries in their cafeteria "Freedom
Fries", weakly echoing the WW1 conversion of sauerkraut to "Liberty
Cabbage". Even Hamburgers were renamed "ground sirloin" which is still
with us because it fools dumb consumers.

Bush copied the world wars rhetoric a lot, like the Axis of ... bit. A
pathetic call to patriotism to an elective war that didn't merit any.
Support the soldiers, yes, but not the fools that send them off to get
killed for politics.

I remember lots of presidents attacking (or provoking attacks from/on)
the wrong country.

That's OK, lots of leftards asked the same question.

That's lame, unless you're claiming Democrats in Congress have no spine.
OK, you may have something there. :-)

Hardly weakly, just stupidly, as was the original renaming.

Actually I remember that in the 50s, but not lately, except at the meat
counter, but that doesn't really count since it makes sense for raw
meat, just not for a hamburger, which are now called "hamburgers"

Yep, pretty much the same as every other stupid war we got sucked into
by lying politicians and that would include WWI, WWII, the Korean War
(oops, Police action), and Vietnam. What's the only difference? Iraq
cost us about an order of magnitude or more less dead than the others.

Oddly enough..the Leftards avoid answering nearly universally.

It's probably a regional thing. In many restaurants - starting one cut
above McD - the menu says ground sirloin or chopped sirloin. Makes it
sound a bit more classy, implies better meat (it's not), and justifies
a buck or two more on the price.

Actually, I have to disagree.

Ground or chopped sirloin refers to a particular cut of meat which generally
is better meat (ie the sirloin).

If they aren't using the sirloin then it's false advertising.

Same thing for ground round. That refers to a particular cut (and location)
of meat that was used.

If the meat doesn't come from the round (ie rump) then it's false
advertising.

Of course, proving that could be difficult without access to the meat
processer.
