Can we have $5 gas now?

Alaska first state to hit $4 a gallon gasoline: AAA By Bernard Woodall
Wed May 14
Alaska hit a milestone on Wednesday that could be a sign of things to
come around the United States this summer -- it became the first state
where the average price for regular gasoline reached $4 per gallon.
"It wasn't totally unexpected," said Geoff Sundstrom, spokesman for
the travel and auto group AAA which issues a daily gasoline price
report.
"Oil prices recently brushed against $127 per barrel so certainly, $4
gasoline could be in the cards for other states as well this summer,"
said Sundstrom.
At $4 per gallon, filling up a 15-gallon tank will cost $60.
Alaskans using self-service regular gasoline paid $4.006 per gallon,
said the AAA Wednesday report.
The U.S. average for regular gasoline hit a record $3.758 per gallon,
the same report showed.
A year ago, the U.S. average price was $3.3354 a gallon and in Alaska,
the average price was $2.946 a gallon.
Gasoline price analysts will have a better handle on how many states
are likely to reach $4 a gallon this summer once the Memorial Day
weekend passes, said Sundstrom. That holiday weekend is May 23-26.
"Memorial Day weekend is a little to the gasoline industry what
Christmas is to retailers," said Sundstrom. "It's one of the highest
demand weekends for fuel and is a barometer for what can be expected
in summer driving season demand."
The AAA will issue its summer travel forecast on Thursday.
How much high prices cut into gasoline demand -- largely by cutting
discretionary driving -- will go a long way to determining its price
per gallon ceiling, Sundstrom said.
So far in 2008, U.S. gasoline demand has fallen 1 per cent from 2007,
MasterCard Advisors said in a report issued earlier this week.
Earlier this month, the Petroleum Marketers Association of America
said summer U.S. gasoline demand will decline this year for the first
time since 1991.
After Alaska, states with the highest average prices for regular
gasoline on Wednesday were:
-- Connecticut, $3.977
-- California, $3.947
-- New York and Illinois, $3.926
-- Hawaii, $3.894
-- Michigan, $3.891
-- West Virginia, $3.889
The U.S. Labor Department on Wednesday reported that nationwide,
energy prices are up 16 percent from a year ago.
Crude oil prices rose to a record $126.98 a barrel on Tuesday from $62
a year ago, but fell to about $124 a barrel (42 gallons) on Wednesday,
ending a streak of seven trading sessions achieving record highs.

Bush? Thank the Democrats that control the House and Senate!
Please do Tom.
They just canned billions of dollars in spending that would have been little
more that good money after bad.
A spending authorization request from the hillbilly in the WH. LBJ and now
George Bush. I say we give Texas back to mexico and let these retards enjoy
the luxury of a country the'd like America to be first.

Indeed.

Be careful of what you wish for. California would be next.

Bzzzzzzzzzzzzz,,,Fish-On!
And arizona and neuvo mexico. Hola!
But not $4.00 gas last March.
You guys that wrangle about politics should get a clue. Both parties are in
the business of ruining this once fine country. Ever read "Atlas Shrugged"?
Its like a prophecy for our times.
Really hard for you to admit you are wrong isn't it Cheezy?
Typical fatal character flaw of a conservative.
TMT
Rereading a book won't change things.
Is the conservative candidate promising 29 cent gas if he is elected?
Maybe he should if he wants to win.
I am sure all the naive conservatives would then vote for him...like
they did for Bush.
TMT
You said that you don't read gunner's posts...remember?
No one, except you guys, said that their was. The question asked of
Bush was about predictions for $4/gal gasoline. Bush's reply was that
he knew nothing about that.
Do you think that he has figured it out yet?

Actually, I was right when I pointed out that the question that was
asked of Bush was about predictions of $4/gal gas by the summer
driving season and that those who wanted to rephrase the actual
question to make it a lie were lying themselves. I go back and look
at the video of the question being asked every so often. Especially
the part where Bush says that he knows nothing about any such
predictions.
Do you think that he may have figured it out yet? I wonder?

Reading this book will change the way you view what
is happening in the USA.
This country is toast and it has been alternately toasted
by democrats and republicans. Soon it will be burnt toast.
Now you are lying again. Go back and re-read my posting... again.
It's in english.
Additionally, Brock backpedalled and said it would be by the fourth of
July. And here it isn't even Memorial Day yet.
The SUBJECT line was $4.00/gas in March. Bush didn't know of any
$4.00 gas in March. Neither did I. You were able to find some
tourist hotspot in death valley where hi-test was over $4.00/gallon.
Whoop de dooo!
Gee, for someone who claims they don't read much of Gomer, you sure do
seem to reply to a lot of his posts.

I just started so it would piss you off. Hola!
Good for you. You finally have a purpose in life.
If I'm a gasoline provider and I see some Lib paying:
$1 for a 20 oz. bottle of Ice Mountain when it's free from the tap
or
$7 for a Starbucks Tall Iced Sugar-Free 1/2 non-fat Mocha Latte, 1/2
Pumpkin Chai, with one Equal and half a packet of Splenda with a Soy
Splash easy ice with sprinkles in a Grande cup
then I'm going to charge $4 or more for a gallon of gas.

You need to stop dreaming about 29 cent gas, you will never see 29
cent gas again. I think that was the price in the 1960's or
thereabouts. I've never pain 29 cent gas myself.
It could only get that low if Obama raids the strategic reserve or
negotiates a 29 cent deal with Achmydoucheinabag.
A better plan would be to increase your bottom line or start riding a
bicycle. I topped off at $3.90 today.
Think they would want Illinois too?
FYI...I saw the same video.
Based on George's response, a pet rock would make a better President.
My dog lies better about who peed on the floor.
And Bob you have been right all along...and that burns Cheezy to no
end.
Burn Cheezy burn. ;<)
TNT
Thank you Cheezy for finally admitting that Bob is righ and you are
wrong.
That is the first step towards recovery.
The next step is registering as a Democrat.
You do want to be on the winning team, don't you?
TMT
Then explain to me again why gunners constant homosexual insults don't
bother you?
Bullshit. Google is not your friend. Si comprende'
hey...you charge the people who have the money.
With the conservatives sitting on the sidewalk with a piece of
cardboard saying "I voted for Bush..will work for food", you just step
over them.
TMT
Memorial day is "by the 4th of July."
Yeah, the subject line was a lie. Your assertion about what the
question asked was a lie. The only lie you didn't tell was that Bush
had no idea about the projections for $4/gal gas by summer.
Apparently, you didn't either.

Are you that stoopid?
Your homo attacks on me bother ME.
If you had more than half a brain, you would see the truth of what I
said.
Barack wants to move away...
And all sentient beings can vote in America?
Ummm? What makes you think I admitted Bob was right about anything?
So your homo attacks on others bother you too?
If you had a little integrity, you stop lying.
Does your dog have fleas?
Because I was.
What homo attacks? Where did I say they engaging in graphic acts of
oral sex as you like to post?
You and gunner are engaged in a thread accusing me of having sex with
animals. Don't play coy. It's not working.
Why?
>You do want to be on the winning team, don't you?
I forget. What did the last "winning team" do for America?
I must have missed the post where one gender of animal was preferred
over the other. That's a good thing, I think.
Bobbie, I'll tell you what's not working... you lies about me.
So when Bobbie went into detail about his homoerotic sexual fantasies
which included me, he was a NeoCon. Now that he's whining when I said
he was "dating" he's a progressive again?
> Hey, Cheesy. Give us a list of Bush's accomplishments.
Give me a list of countries that Squirelly can vote in. I mean
legally vote in.
I missed the part where I accused Bob of anything other than lies.
Seems he's still lying.

Aren't you and your friend gunner (whom you seldom read) engaged in a
conversation about me and sheep right now?

Do you have any other Bush accomplishments to list, or is this it?
The threads there. He was talking to you. Is this one of gunner's
threads that you want to claim to not read again?
What? You want to now claim that you and your buddy gunner weren't
talking about me and sheep? Whatever. The thread is there for anyone
to see.
