What a strange and flawed poster uses this handle!
Even POTUS Obama realizes & states how it is totally
wrong and offensive to use a governmentail agency
like the IRS for blatently partisian purposes.

Any rational person, from either side of any issue
realizes that type of action is destructive of democracy.
I've been very Pro-Choice for many decades,
but the below action is totally wrong.

http://washingtonexaminer.com/report-irs-denied-tax-exempt-status-to-pro-lifers-on-behalf-of-planned-parenthood/article/2529750

'IRS officials refused to grant tax exempt status to two pro-life
organizations because of their position on the abortion issue, according to
a non-profit law firm, which said that one group was pressured not to
protest a pro-choice organization that endorsed President Obama during the
last election.

“In one case, the IRS withheld approval of an application for tax exempt
status for Coalition for Life of Iowa. In a phone call to Coalition for Life
of Iowa leaders on June 6, 2009, the IRS agent ‘Ms. Richards’ told the group
to send a letter to the IRS with the entire board’s signatures stating that,
under perjury of the law, they do not picket/protest or organize groups to
picket or protest outside of Planned Parenthood,” the Thomas More Society
announced today. “Once the IRS received this letter, their application would
be approved.” Planned Parenthood endorsed Obama in 2008 and 2012.

The IRS admitted last week to that some members of the agency targeted Tea
Party groups for discriminatory reviews of their applications for tax-exempt
status. The Justice Department has initiated a criminal investigation into
the matter.'

Why is this so surprising? The whole definition of politics is: "Reward
your friends and punish your enemies". And the IRS is just prefect for at
least part of that. It's funny everybody is acting so shocked and
pretending to be so innocent. Give me a break!

Perhaps, but one must do so in a legal and non-discriminatory manner.

Legal = One could write favorable conditions for manufacturers
of 'green vehicles' into the tax code.
Illegal = Treating Chevrolet better than Ford because one
govt. employee either likes his Chev, or owns stock in it.

"Perfect" ? Well, yeah,,, the idea of the IRS taking
discriminatory action for partisian purposes is so
"perfectly" horrible, that all should be offended.

A "perfect" and chilling example:
http://washingtonexaminer.com/article/2529924?slideout=1
"Coalition for Life of Iowa found itself in the IRS’s crosshairs when the
group applied for tax exempt status in October 2008. Nearly ten months of
interrogation about the group’s opposition to Planned Parenthood included a
demand by a Ms. Richards from the IRS’ Cincinnati office unlawfully insisted
that all board members sign a sworn declaration promising not to
picket/protest Planned Parenthood."

A citizen has a constitutional right to picket and protest
what they wish.
The government (or it's IRS) MUST NOT try to stop that right.

Thank you Bert, for confirming what I suspected
(but did not know how to verify).

So, it thus seems, that these days, almost all the
'liberal' & 'mocking' & 'angry' posts on this newsgroup
are made by just one very busy person. ?!

I tend to think, the majority of us should celebrate the
good news side of this, that we have better things to do
with our time than sit all day typing anger into a computer!!

No one is stopping that right.

What the Tea baggers /don't/ have the right to do is defraud the tax
payers by claiming charitable status when in fact they are a right
wing extremist political activist group.

Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer was asked on TV this morning whether he thinks
the IRS actions violated the law:

"Look, I can't speak to the law here," he said. "The law is
irrelevant. The activity was outrageous and inexcusable."

This seems to be the new mantra for all administrations. It doesn't
matter if it is wire tapping, killing, or incarceration without without
judical process. Then there is securities fraud. TARP loans were given,
in part, with assurances that home owners would have their rates
adjusted. The President claims the right to attack anyone, anywhere,
without explanation beyond National Security.
