Good golly, I cannot believe this was actually introduced in our government Congress!!! Yet there it is -- on the official US govt website...
http://thomas.loc.gov/home/gpoxmlc110/h1955_rfs.xml

Please scan through the text. This is a wake up call for anyone who is against spying on law-abiding US citizens. Too much to excerpts.... here's one part that would in effect shut off any information that the govt does not think advances it's propaganda...

"SEC. 899B. FINDINGS.

"The Congress finds the following: ...

"(3) The Internet has aided in facilitating violent radicalization, ideologically based violence, and the homegrown terrorism process in the United States by providing access to broad and constant streams of terrorist-related propaganda to United States citizens...

April 19, 2007 - Introduced by Jane Harman (CA)
Harman is local here. I call her the "light bulb" woman because she repeated introduces legislation to outlaw the sale of incandescent (normal) bulbs which can be thrown away in the trash without harming the environment, in favor of compact fluorescent bulbs, which contain high levels of mercury. She has no concept of what is "good" for the environment and is a true globalization promoter.
