I converted some wmv files to iPhone format. Even though the file names are nicely sorted the way I want, when I sync them onto my iPhone they are not in the correct sequence.

1. Is there something like ID3 tags, but for mp4 files?
2. If so, what (free) app is there to edit these tags?

Thanks.

Remember Larry doesn't have a clue about anything Apple related, other
wise he would have an iPhone too. ;>)

Why? his N800 device is _not_ a mobile phone!

Perhaps he'd like an iPod Touch like me one day. Better choice than an
iPhone or N800 anyday. iTunes Genius is cool! :-)

But then the effort he has put into choosing individual filenames and
folders for his massive media library is wasted. So he is stuck with his
outdated methods...

... and is happy ;-)

In iTunes/windows, go to the file in the library, right-click and select
'Get-info'. You can edit the tags in there.

No need.
