Google's Epic Fail: It is just another Droid!

Yesterdays news was Google's day in the sun, all thirty seconds of it.

ABC News featured Google vs Apple as the title of the news story. Yada
Yada.

They started by gushing over Nexus and its features, unlocked etc. but
after 30 seconds they threw the question out what was Apple's
response. That is all the news people needed to go on and on about the
new iSlate and how that will be more important than the iPhone. The
anchor woman for that piece had a mock up one and said she was going
to buy a new purse just for it. They killed Google and its Nexus story
as just another Droid which didn't match the iPhone and the Apple app
store while giving Apple tons of free publicity for a product that has
not even been officially announced yet.

Their enthusiasm was so contagious that even if I was thinking of
buying a Nexus, I would now hold off long enough to see what Apple was
going to announce in less than three weeks. Apple killed Google
yesterday without even lifting a finger!

How can Android compete against that as a premier product? It is just
a second rate wannabe in a sea of wanna be imitators of the Apple
phenomena. As news of the crap included software get out to more and
more of the public no one will want it.

I have some close friends who need to see songs with lyrics which
easily display on the iPhone and in iTunes using ebbed data in meta
tags found in MP3. that can not find any software for the Droid that
does the same thing. They can find things that look for lyrics on a
web server with Droid software from third parties but that can not
find the lyrics embed in the actual MP3. The default media player that
comes with Droid phones sucks compare to the default player in the
iPhone big time.

I can not laugh at these folks as they are super, literally the salt
of the earth.

I suspect they now realize they screwed up by wasting their money on
the Droid in 'their quest for freedom' and it si going to cost them
big bucks to fix it.

They just made a mistake that has come back to bite them. ;>(

Does anyone know of any software that will display the lyrics that has
been added to meta tags in normal MP3's that works on the Droid for
playback and simultaneous display like the iPhone iPod player? It
must not be server based but local to the actual MP3 file.

I have discovered it is easy to add reams of text data to that MP3 or
AAC 'lyric' field in audio-books and lecture notes using iTunes.

Be nice, there's plenty of room out there for other phones.
