Subject: Strange problems with 4S
My 4S has been a bit wonky lately. Won't ring in the headphones when
there's an incoming call (but the volume dims) but music plays fine and
other alarms work in the headphones. Very slow connecting in most any app
the uses the web. A couple of other oddities. So I finally decided to erase
it and start over last night. What a mess! When everything was
re-installed, nothing accessing the net was working, even though wifi was
working and I had 3 bars of 4G. Neither a reboot or hard reboot helped. It
took a while to get email working again just by fiddling with the settings.
Afer more than an hour of clearing out settings and reentering them, I
finally got it all back working. But it was a frustrating couple of hours
altogether. I never did find anything actually "wrong", but just didn't
work until I reset things. Not what I'd expect from an iPhone, a bit
dissappointing.
