Besides WikiHack,
http://nethack.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page
a second Wikipedia-style resource for NetHack (and
probably one needing/open-to inputs from
well-informed participants here), is the Strategy
Wiki NetHack section:
http://strategywiki.org/wiki/NetHack
The above NetHack subtree is a single branch off a
much larger tree covering strategies for thousands
of computer games.

Thanks. But call me old-fashioned; I still think it's more fun to
discuss strategy here.

You weren't under any obligation to crosspost to
misc.misc just because I did/do. That's my own
private habit with an attached agenda.
I'm just usually too disinterested to create a
"Followup-To:" header myself, on the basis that
everyone is responsable anyway for checking where
s/he is posting before sending an article to the
Usenet server.
Malicious crossposting that's been ongoing on Usenet
for at least 25 years makes that habit of making
sure you are not crossposting where you don't mean
to be crossposting, a mandatory part of sanely
participating in Usenet.
