Were the recent door-to-door searches in Boston/Watertown legal?

Subpoenaing police records for traffic case (trial declaration by mail) 
  I am subpoenaing records from the SDPD for a traffic ticket. I filled out a CR-125 subpoena for a trial declaration by mail case . The information is sent sealed to the court from the police dept and is opened only by the judge. The court will not allow me access to records and they will not allow me to make a request.
