Subject: Looking for a position as Landscape Architect/Environmental
and Regional planner

I am interested in working in the field of Landscape
Architecture & Environmental Planning with GIS application. I
am an Architect, Landscape Architect and Regional Planner;
with my Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) and Master of
Landscape Architecture (M.L.Arch.) from India and Master
of Regional Planning from University of Pennsylvania,
Philadelphia.

I work with Autocad-12, Animator, GIS, SAS, SAS Graphics,
Lotus 1-2-3, WP-5.1, Quattro Pro, Cricket Graph and other
computer software packages. I also posses design and freehand
sketching skills. I have five years of practical experience
and four years of University teaching experience in the field
of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning. I have
taught the following courses for four years at the Department
of Architecture, D.Y.P. College of Engineering & Technology in
India : Graphics Design, Environmental Planning, Landscape
Architecture, Architecture Design Studios, Professional
Practice and Thesis Guide. During 1988-91, I was nominated as
Chairman of Shivaji University Examination Board, India for
University Architecture and Landscape Architecture
Examinations.

During 1987-89, I won three awards in National Design
Competitions in India. My name was listed in Kolhapur District
Gazette (Who's Who), Maharashtra State, India in 1990, as a
Landscape and Environmental Planner for Shri. Jyotiba
Development Plan, as part of State record of significant

In my Regional Planning Studio-II (729), at University of
Pennsylvania, Philadelphia; I have developed "Comprehensive
Development Plan for 2010" for White Clay Creek Watershed Area
in Pennsylvania State. A model was developed for sustainable
development and tested for carrying capacity of the site. In
the Regional Planning Studio (503), I have worked on Virginia
Eastern Shore, Virginia State. A study was carried out to find
out - how the development is creating problems for aquifer
recharge areas and what could be done about it. Both the
studios were based on GIS application.

I am confident that with my academic knowledge and relevant
practical experience, I can positively contribute to my best
in the different projects, given an opportunity.
