We have an urgent req for Project Manager..
Position: Project Manager
Duration: 9+ months
City of Carlsbad, CA
The proposed project will include implementation of the Lawson HR/
Payroll Suite,
Lawson Business Intelligence Suite, CyberShift scheduling and
timekeeping system
(including potential interfaces with Lawson payroll, Lawson HR,
Telestaff and
SUNGARD Bi-Tech financials), and NeoGov applicant tracking system.
Lawson,
Cybershift and NeoGov will reside in hosted environments.
This project will require significant communication skills, as well as
flexibility, skill with resource and scope management, experience
anticipating challenges and managing course adjustments
Desired Skills
Expected project manager responsibilities include:
• Managing and leading the project team
• Recruiting project staff
• Managing co-ordination of the partners and working groups engaged in
the project work
• Detailed project planning
Job Description
• Work closely with city staff to ensure that project meets
established business needs
• Definition, development, and management of the User Acceptance
Testing program
• Identifying user training needs and devising and managing user
training programs
Project Manager who is able to work with both application / systems
vendors and city staff. The various software vendors involved in the
project will provide
their own respective project / implementation coordinator. It is the
expectation of the city
that the selected project manager will have the skills required to
successfully work with
these disparate groups – vendor supplied consultants and city staff
(having a wide
range of skills and backgrounds). A flexible but firm leadership style
