Bush says stimulus package will add 1.5% to economy

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- The recently enacted fiscal stimulus
package will add 1.5% to the economy, President Bush said Monday. The
stimulus package should be given a chance "to kick in," Bush said at a
meeting with business leaders. He also acknowledged consumers are
still hurting, citing worry about the cost of fuel in particular.

Truly laughable....The stimulus package won't even cover the total
outstanding payments overdue on consumer credit cards....

Now THAT IS SCARY.

Interest rates are up in spite of fed actions. IMO all of these
gyrations
are just to screw the boomers out of nest eggs.

Methinks there is another leg down to the markets, consumer credit
will provide the grease for this skid down.
