I know that Fluent Entertainment is another that I have heard has some good
games coming. Anyone a game player here?

A lot of gaming companies have gone out or are going out of business.
The ones I know of are: 3DO, Interplay and Acclaim. 3DO and Interplay
both have some successful titles not too long ago. The thing that
surprises me is how fast these companies go from boon to bust.
Another company Take2 was said to have some trouble on one of the TV
programs. Not too long ago, some other TV program said that Take2 was
a great stock.
As for Electronic Arts, I heard otherwise. Anyway, gaming is a tough
business.
Incidentally, if you do some searching on Amazon, you will find that a
lot of best selling games are from Microsoft. It is probably
difficult to compete with Microsoft in any software business.
I suspect that your correct in that it is a risk busyness unless you
understand what it is the gamers want, and be ahead of the curve on the
currrent games that are being hyped. I think our kids are a good source of
what is cool in game software if you have kids in that 'gaming age'.
Electronic Arts is tops I hear. That vice series was a huge seller... I
remember my son talking me into buying him a copy when it first came out and
I shold have taken pause and paid attention...
