I am researching a survey on financial software -- mainly professional
and institutional, rather than retail -- that is, S/W used by banks,
securities firms, etc. in trading, analysis, back-office ops, lending,
etc. Would appreciate any thoughts on developing a FUNCTIONAL MATRIX of
the field -- i.e. a set of categories into which all applications can be
sub-divided by their purpose. Examples: portfolio management,
asset/liability analysis, trading support, trade processing, etc. Also,
any tips on previous similar surveys or source material. Usable responses
will receive copy of the survey. Tks.
