99 Cents Only Stores "strong buy," estimates reduced

NEW YORK, June 19 (newratings.com) - Analysts at Wedbush Morgan
maintain their "strong buy" rating on 99 Cents Only Stores (NDN.NYS),
while reducing their estimates for the company. The 12-month target
price is set to $19.
In a research note published yesterday, the analysts mention that the
company has reported preliminary F4Q LPS marginally short of the
consensus. 99 Cents Only Stores' comps grew by 2.9% in the quarter and
have continued to improve so far in the June quarter, the analysts
say. The company might announce a share repurchase programme, after
filing its 10-K for 2007. 99 Cents Only Stores' operating margins are
likely to be in-line with that of its peers in the long term, and the
company's growth prospects in retail are impressive, Wedbush Morgan
adds. The EPS estimate for 2007 has been reduced from $0.20 to
