It's getting to the end of year and that means next year's stock picking
challenge. Anyone interested in embarrassing themselves one more time? : )

Is cash or short selling allowed?

If so, i am in, you can give me my trophy now. . . . short sale of
anything
Comics picks and i'll give up a 20% lead since he is mentally
handicapped.

I have not had an opportunity to embarrass myself yet so I am in.
What are the rules and regulations?

Mr Lubow -

I'll line up my picks somewhere around the last week of December.

Yes. Shorts are allowed. No bonds, cash, commodities (dammit), or options are
allowed. Must pick ten stocks long or short.

Give us ten stocks to buy or short. They can be traded anywhere in the world as
long as their data is updated daily by Yahoo Finance.

All dividends are reinvested on the payment date if long, subtracted from your
valuation if short. If your stock is ex-div but payment is made after Dec 31,
2009, the dividend value will be added to your total valuation and not
reinvested. Stocks that are ex-div before Jan 1, 2009 will not get the
dividend.

Options, futures, bonds are not allowed. The transactions are done at the close
of business on the last trading day of the year.

To ensure no copycats, each player has to email their picks to:

misg...@hotmail.com

Please wait until the last week in December to send me your picks.

I update the standings at least twice per week and credit dividends at the end
of the month.

Our website is

http://www.freewebs.com/misgame/

Finally, since I'm the only one who knows everyone's picks ahead of the start
date, I try my best to pick stocks that have not been picked by anyone else.

I'm devoting this weekend to finalizing the 2008 Stock Picking Challenge and to
boot up the 2009 game.

All are welcome to join in the fun (and embarrassment) of seeing how your ten
stock picks compare against the finest minds in the Usenet!

The basic rule is you need to submit ten stocks that I can track on Yahoo
Finance. Options, closed end mutual funds (NOT ETFs), futures, commodities are
not allowed. Dividends are reinvested on the payout date.

Only email submissions will be accepted in cause of preventing copy-cats. Since
I will be the only one who will know in advance what everyone else is picking, I
will try my best to pick stocks that were not selected by other entrants for my
own entry.

Send your ten stock picks to misg...@hotmail.com

Good luck!
