I like Isaac Asimov better, but Clarke wrote a lot of good books. Now
some M.I.S. writers here can compete with him in writing fiction, he
was still one of the good ones.

A few years ago, my ex-sec'y visited me from Sri Lanka where she was
living with her hubby......she saw a 1st edition of 2001 on my bookshelf and
slipped it into her bag(unnoticed by me).......3 weeks later, it came back
in the mail with a few nice paragraphs on the flypage & signed by
Clarke......He had been living as an ex-pat in Colombo for many years.......
