Well, duh, yeah, which is why the best use of stations would
be in company parking lots...coast in with just a few milliamps
to spare, spend your eight hours goofing o--err, working hard,
then you're all charged up for another act of electric car
range brinksmanship if you live more than two blocks from the
company...
One company I worked at about 12 years ago had not one but
two die-hard fans of the old General Motors EV-1 (this was
in a company of about 400 people), they could have used the
stations for their commuter cars before GM crushed them on
orders from the Bush administration...

All the ones I've seen take Visa, MasterCard, etc. Gotta wonder
what the markup is on the $2 or so of electricity you would use
for a typical charge...
