Googles New phone?

My son showed me some info leaked on the internet of a phone that has no
sliding keyboard and looks like the iPhone in many ways.. Made by HTC
(this is all i have 'HTC' and dont know if it is publicly traded or not
at this writing.. just tossing this out to see what others might know
about the Google phone)

Anyone turning up any info on the new Google-Phone?

Apple stock is lingering under $200 and this Google phone threat seems
to be real..

Thank you for the info. They may be in for some up action but
I am not sure how I could trade it..

Stock symbol: 2498 Scottrade is not going to like that symbol <grin>

I can see that ... I opened 2 accounts at ScottTrade in the past year for
the nieces/nephews future funding should they need it in addition to their
own work. Very limited exchange offerings wrt to my own IB accounts, yet as
I mentioned even IB doesn't trade the TSE (Taiwan, not Toronto).

May I ask how you determined that HTC is involved in the manufacture of the
Nexus One? I haven't gone through their entire web offering, but everything
I've perused (not much, certainly) outside of that seems to indicate that
HTC extensively uses the Google {Android, Chrome} OS on their own
smartphones, and is going to suffer as a result of the new Google Nexus One
phone, which Reuters indicates is going to be offered in both an "unlocked"
and "T-Mobile" configuration 05 January 2010.

Where is the manufacturer stated, please?

The manufacturer information is supposed to be a secret right now. It
was leaked by employees who are field testing the device. Using the FCC
Id that was on the back of the phone you can determine that the
manufacturer is HTC. There has been no press release because that would
not be good for hype and business.

I have seen a phone sold by Rogers in Toronto that runs the Google OS
but the phone is not made by Google.
I am seriously considering purchasing one though.
I do not know if you saw the link I posted about Google Goggles
but if you have time have a look at this short video.

Basically you can now search Google using a picture instead of text.
This is mind boggling stuff that will take years before people grasp
it's potential.
Thinking of adding more GOOG to my portfolio. Nice move today I tell

It may be the phone I linked that post to. Google was handling them out
to Googites and the word is they are the NEW Google phone But I am just
tossing this on the BarbQ for examination and discussion. Seems like
this is what they did with the last phone. Released the to the Googites
then it became public info.

If you can find anything that would cast more light on the Google phone
pass it along ShortT.

Today's Globe and Mail says that the Nexus-1 is not yet available
in Canada (Google won't ship it here), but if you purchase
one south of the border and bring it back you can use it here.
Google plans to make eventually make it available here.

I saw this guy on BNN talking about it. He said that if you find the
right carrier
you can get 3G.
I wonder if it worth the drive to Buffalo?

T-Mobile has a decent 3G network I understand. Fairly inexspensive too
from what my son tells me. He prefers it to the rather pricey ATT
account I use with my iPhone. But I am no expert. I have had ATT
forever and they treat me pretty good. I think their network is getting
better but like all the carriers trying to go hand held internet they
ALL need to get more bandwidth.

Where are you that you can't get one local? Hodunk. USA? hahaha
