You know in the BIG BIG picture all this means crap. Ok now get a
fucking grip.
Ben: Ok. All clear! I have my "Tools" waters safe to jump in.
(after some time...)
Ben: Really.. Now who's first?
(after some more time..)
Ben: I am not kidding,, Really I understand how to fix this.. I
have been reading up on what happened the last time and I studied
this in college.. Really I did... Really... I am the man to fix this.
QUICK action! Quick that is the answer
DirtBag: Oh OK. Who's first?
Ummm . . I'm busy stacking canned goods in my basement.
You go first, eh? I'll watch.
.
Now feel sympathy for him, nothing can be done to mitigate the
economic
cycle, need the purge and lowering of prices just to continue.
NEXT????
China is slowing down big time. They are apt to stop supporting the
Treasury
Actions to feed a couple of billion militant asians at home.
What's worse than abject poverty?
Abject Poverty after you've had a taste of prosperity and it gets
snatched away.
They will be facing revolution at home unless they stimulate real
soon.
I now actually feel sorry for Benny. Stress is a killer, i'm sure
he's sorry
he took the job.
Shiite same can be said for Dubya. He looks old, four years later.
Was over his head the last 8 years. I really don't think he's evil,
just ignorant and pig headed. McCain is evil. Nancy Reagan in
Hospital After Fall. The end of an era. By contrast, Cheney the old
coot and Paulson look younger than before. They eat stress and like
it.
Looks like the only good that will come of this crisis is that all the
other nations (and I'm posting offshore at the moment) will catch the
same disease the USA does, despite the fact they largely despise the
USA. I bet Canada, which supposedly has the best banks, will also
fall. Haha. Schadenfreude.
Deflation, followed by inflation if we're lucky. If unlucky, inflation
becomes hyperinflation.
I'm pretty heavy into gold and Au mining stock, but like it's been
said the gold miners have not kept up with the price of gold--maybe
they'll converge to the mean.

Many saw it coming for Benny...now I notice the press has added his
middle initial... makiing it BS Bernacki. he is starting to
look more and more like a fall guy every day.... at least he is no
longer lying through is teeth... thats progress.
Myself though, hard core gloomer that I am....I still do not see
anything as bad as the great depression as far as living day to day
goes...(automated farms and built infrastructure will preclude serious
starvation in the US at least)...... but worse than the great
depression as far as losses go... the bubble of derivitives and 80
million new retirees insures that.
The remainiing question is will it be a runaway inflation scenario or
deflationary crash... it seems the world wide moves so far are
solidly in favor of inflation.
Much of the most serious damages could be eliminated if the entire
derivitive bubble were simply declared as bogus paper, worth nothing
in either direction.... causing of course massive heartburn all around
on main street but precluding what migh otherwise be much nastier.....
those were all basically gambles, gaming and hedging the system and
arranged magicially in some aspects to spin both sides of a
deal...generally not legal in contract law...there has to be a mutual
exchange of valuables to seal the contract
Many aspects, key aspects, of derivitives avoid this actual exchange
of valuable considerations... its paper... hot air... just as it has
been ruled in one case that a bank mortgage was not payable because
the bank had not actually offered a valuable it owned... just credits.
there is no way in hell in any event that the entire 100 to 300
trillion derivitives will wash regardless... lately the odds of any
washing ar approaching zero... so declaring them null void and
worthless would go a long ways toward recovery.
(the above is a semi literate wild guess on my part... ymmv)

Id stay with the metal and dump the stock...one of those guys, heavy
in the gold mine business later
turned broker, filled me in on those players and the scams....if I
bought gold stocks it would be Newmont?
mining and maybe a couple of the decades established major
mines...none of the others... salting is rampant,
bogus assays and fake geologist reports, these between themselves bump
those stocks...some are very clever
and have built at ruthless reputation for *protecting their investors
and saving thier ass.... only to use such
confidence to hurt them badly later on the biggest deals. watch for
sir names such as 'duggan', baybak, bayback, Friedlander, Feshback,
Miscavige... esp if in the same deals..now running major gold mine
conglomerates... my last updates years ago and ive since lost the SEC
traces I had... its nasty... started at the VSE with Duggan, who
mentored the rest. Mostly moved offshore now, to Hong Kong and
Singapore at last report...I have no idea of the latest on them...
perhaps 50% of all gold field stocks world wide by now
