Trading on the Forex can be a hard thing to do. It does not have to
be. There are simple rules and procedures that the pros use that make
it really easy to trade on the Forex. Let's start at the beginning.
The five W's of trading Forex.
What is the Forex Market?
Forex is short for Foreign Exchange Market. Forex started in the
1970's when we finally abolished the system of backing up our money
with precious metals. The Forex is what replaced this. Currencies now
are run on what is called a floating point. This is a system that
everyone determines how much every currency is worth based on the
supply and demand of the currency. When people buy the USD, it is
worth more. When people sell the USD it is worth less.
Why should I trade Forex?
Forex is the largest of the Capital markets in the world. $1.5
trillion dollars gets traded daily. This gives a high opportunity to
grab a small chunk of that money and walk away with it. The market is
both volatile and liquid. This means that you can move into and out of
positions in a matter of a second. The market is so large it is said
that it cannot be manipulated by even large investments; this makes
almost a pure supply and demand market. Financial indicators work best
on the Forex because of all of these reasons here.
Where is the Forex trading taking place?
Forex trading takes place at the comfort of your home. You trade on a
platform that tells your broker what you want to buy and what you want
to sell. These brokers are usually banking institutions. You do not
get charged a commission like other capital markets. You get charged
something called a spread. This spread is a small fee, usually pennies
for the currency pair. The broker makes money though the large number
of trading that goes on throughout all of their traders.
When is the Forex Market online?
Forex trades virtually 24 hours, 7 days a week. It only closes from
Friday afternoon until Sunday evening. This makes it possible to set
your own trading hours. If you trade part time and want to place your
trade at 3am, log into your account and trade. If you are a full time
trader, the same applies. No other market lets you pick the hours you
trade.
How do I get started in trading on the Forex Market?
Hold your horses, don't trade just yet. Trading blindly in a market
where you do not know where it is going is going to be a bad idea. A
good idea for a beginner and even advanced trader is to use an
Automatic Forex advisor. An Automatic Forex Advisor is a robot that
trades for you based on how the pros trade. This uses financial
indicators that the pros use to trade. In the mean time of having your
robot trade for you, you can learn more about how the markets work and
how the robot is trading so well.
