There is no doubt by now that the 2009 IPO Market is off to one heck
of a start. It was a bumpy ride for a while, but once April rolled
around, we started to see some real quality.
The single most important attribute to a blockbuster IPO is its
underwriter. There are many IPO underwriters and just like anything
else, there are good ones and bad ones. Key is doing your homework to
find out if the IPO you're interested in has a good one or not.
Read the prospectus! When a company files for Initial Public Offering,
they have to by law, submit a prospectus. In this SEC document, there
are loads of data that basically tells you everything about the
company from earnings to risk factors.
The second most important attribute of a blockbuster IPO is its "Use
Of Proceeds" statement. In this statement (found in the prospectus) it
states exactly what the company will do with the proceeds from the
Initial Public Offering. Something to look for is "Research and
Development and possible acquisitions."
Now it's time to get in and profit. Getting in on IPOs is not as hard
as some may think; in fact it is quite easy. Stick with me and I'll
show you how to get in on these profit centers and potentially make a
killing!
I've been investing in IPO's for over 10 years now and by no means is
this simply a hobby, it's a business for me. Over the last 10 years,
I've gained a lot of inside knowledge and made gains in the thousands
of percent and I'm willing to share that knowledge with you for free.
