At the moment my son and I are staying here on a tourist visa until
July.
Previously we were on my husbands 01 visa for 10 years as dependants.
Now we are divorced is there anyway we can stay in America?
My son came here when he was 12 weeks old and does not know any other
way of life! After 10 years it is our home!
I know there are a lot of clever people out there who might be able to
help me!
Kay!!!!!

I certainly sympathize with you. I do not know what a 01 visa is but I am
sure you will get some input from these boards better than what u got...

Best advice would be to see an immigration solicitor, even for an
initial consult to see what your options are, haven't heard of an 01
visa either?

Check out www.aila.org for immigration solicitors.

It's an O-1 visa for aliens with outstanding skills or ability. They
have to be renowned in their field. Some examples would be an olympic
gymnastic coach, top-notch surgeon etc.

As for the original poster, I don't think she has many options. Unless
she can get her own work visa, or marries a US citizen, then she'll
probably have to leave.
