Its important to make sure you are fully eligible for US citizenship before filing application with USCIS.In order to make sure that the application is not rejected its important to first make sure that you meet with all the eligibility requirements. The immigration laws have changed over the years and anybody applying for citizenship must fulfill all the necessities for becoming US citizen and provide the needed proof.
The applicant who is submitting a US citizenship application must make sure most importantly that he/she meets the residence requirements. Minimum period of time between the day permanent resident status is gained to the date of filing citizenship form should be 5 years. During this 5 years its very important that for at least half the time period the applicant should have been physically present in US.
