Landing Question.

permanent resident in the U.S, and my wife's case is pending in the
U.S. My 3 kids are U.S citizens. 3 months ago we completed our medical
exams pertaining to our skillled worker category immigration to
Canada. Most of the paper work is complete and apparently waiting for
a final decision from Buffalo.
My question is my wife and the kids needs to go back to my country on
an emergency. I do not know how this would impact our case. If she
leaves do I have to inform this to Buffalo. Once they issue the
landing rights to me in the U.S, how is it possible for my wife and
the kids to travel to Canada from my country.
Any input is highy appreciated.

Are you the primary applicant? Assuming you still receive mail
for them, then it is not that big deal. If the emergency trip is
a temporary one you don't need to inform Visa Office. If it is a
permanent one then AFAIK you should, but make sure to state that
the mailing address does not change.

Well, they need to get the landing right i.e. PR Visa as well.
When the Visa Office request your and their passport, AFAIK they
should send their passport to you and you send all the passports
to visa office, getting their PR visas. Then you must send the
passport back to them, and they must land before the PR Visa
expire.

It is perfectly legal from point of view of Canada and USA, but
I don't know y our country's law: for some countries it is
illegal to send their passports accross their border. It is up
you / your family have to find a way to get the passport to the
visa office and back.

No. Not in this application. If there is no way to get the
passport to the visa office, your may have to give up their
application. You land and move to Canada first and start a new
application sponsoring them.

They can go to Canada from any country.

them once the visa is stamped. So my family can travel to Canda from
my home country.

You were told wrongly. The normal procedure is for the visa
office request the passport, then the applicant (and family
member) mail the passport to the visa office (including prepaid
reply envelope using courier sevice is recommended), then visa
office will mail the passport with PR visa (and some other
documents) to the applicant. Applicant can to go to visa office
personally to expedite the process, if the applicant choose to
do so.

You sent it right? Why Buffalo Visa Office should object?
