Married to Canadian wife

live in Egypt , so i applied 7 month ago for PR , my wife sponsoring me .
today i received an email from the immigration asking me to provide the
following document(s) under the (Subsections 130(1), 130(2) and 133(1) of the
Immigration regulations refer):
-Evidence of your sponsor's current residency in Canada (e.g. evidence of
employment, T4 or Notice of Assessment for the previous year, evidence of
having rented/bought a dwelling in Canada, evidence of pursuing studies in
Canada, etc....)
-Evidence of your intentions to move to Canada with the purpose of
establishing permanently there (e.g. a job offer in Canada, evidence of
having rented/bought a dwelling in Canada, an acceptance letter from an
educational institution in Canada, evidence of having severed ties to the
other country, etc......)
But
A) The Sponsor ( my wife ) is working and living with me in Egypt ,she does
not have anything in Canada for the time being
B) i don't have or own anything in Canada coz we still in Egypt.
AND they need the documents within 30 days!!!!!
can anyone tell me what to do??

Canada and settle there. Plans have to be made to that effect and shown to
the visa office. If your wife is a Canadian citizen then she can sponsor
you as she has done but it is on the basis that she is returning to Canada
and naturally wishes you to accompany her and remain there with her.

Dear Mr. Humphries,
Thank you very much for your prompt reply. I am the wife (Canadian Citizen,
with a Canadian passport). I lived in Canada for 17 years.
We have filled out the Sponsorship form family class and application for PR
and sent them to Mississauga last January.
I Came to Egypt for an employment with the Canadian International Development
Agency, currently employed with them. I am planning on returning to Canada as
soon as my spouse is granted the PR. I have 2 independent kids Canadians from
an ex marriage. I need to be back to Canada soon and of course can't return
without my spouse whom I am sponsoring now. When we get the first approval
or any sign of approval we will be looking for Canadian employment
opportunities and a place for residence. We are well off financially and we
have sent all the papers to prove so. The only documents we couldn't provide
are evidence of employment, T4 or Notice of Assessment for the previous year,
evidence of having rented/bought a dwelling in Canada, evidence of pursuing
studies in Canada, because I haven't been working in Canada for the past 10
years I pay the local taxes and I own a house in Egypt. We wil be selling
our assets when we get the green light from immigration. We need your advise
on replying to the email we received from the Canadian immigration. Below is
a copy of the email that was sent from the Canadian immigration to my spouse.
This refers to your application for permanent residence submitted at this
office subsequent to the receipt of a sponsorship undertaking on your behalf
by Mrs. Eman El Sayed Awad.
Please note that in order to complete the processing of your application, the
following document(s) will be required: (Subsections 130(1), 130(2) and 133(1)
of the Immigration regulations refer).

My first course of action would be to confirm her Citizenship - that
gives her the right to sponsor while she is outside Canada. Send
copies of her : citizenship card or birth certificate (if born in
Canada) and her passport
If she is not a citizen, but a Permanent Resident you are in trouble,
as PR's must be living in Canada to sponsor.
To prove plans to return to Canada - most of the ideas are already
listed, other options would be seeking membership in a CDN
professional association, copies of resume cover letters that have
been sent to Canadian employers etc
If your wife has family in Canada a letter confirming that you are
able to stay with them while looking for permanent living arrangements
could help - make sure they include proof of CDN status/home
ownership.
The part about purchasing CDN property / severing connections in Egypt
is a very stupid thing for them to include in the letter. Immigration
correspondence always tells applicants NOT to sell or dispose of any
assets or quit jobs until a final decision has been made on their
application.
Do what you can within 30 days, and if you have more coming tell them
that there will be more documents following as soon as possible.

Thank u for reply , we sent all the papers concerning citizenship and a
copy of her Canadian passport which proves that my wife is Canadian citizen
not PR . and what i don't understand why They're asking for residence in
Canada when we sent the application for sponsoring from outside Canada. Also,
how can we provide them with proves of employment and residency when we don't
know when we'll be able to go to Canada (this is pending the approval of my
application).

Dear Friends,
I have the same problem. I am a Canadian citizen living now a days in
Pakistan and have sponsored my wife and children. I received the same
letter.
I sent them a job offer letter from a Canadian employer and a kind of
lease letter from a canadian property owner. I also sent a bank
statement showing that I am financially sound. And lastly I sent
passports coppies of all my family including my Canadian son and me. I
also have plans to get admission for next Fall term but I didnt inform
the visa office about that, thought it might create a problem.
Mr. Chris is that sufficient and will it work? I also tried to contact
you from your website but all invain.
Should I proceed and fill up the forms for admission for next year?
And last question is, what should we do if (unfortunatly) the visa
office rejects our cases.

Great. But just in case, prepare another copies of those
documents to be resent.

Did you & her read the guide when filling the application?
Although being Canada citizen allow her to sponsor while being
outside Canada, she can only do that if she can show that she
will return to Canada as soon as the application approved.
Remember that the application requires her to be responsible to
support you in Canada as needed.

AFAIK the most important is that she submit a reasonable plan on
going back to Canada: where and how she is going to move, what
her plan to get place of residence, what her plan to get job,
etc. Make sure the plan showing a knowledge of condition and
situation of the specific area. She should also show some proof
of that plan, e.g. saving in progress to cover the cost of
moving, mail correspondence with real-estate agent discussing
choices and cost of housing, correspondence with travel agent
and mover about cost to move, correspondence with job agencies,
resume she prepared for Canada job market, etc.
Any ties she has with Canada can help as well, e.g. previous job
and/or study in Canada, organisation membership in Canada,
relatives in Canada, etc.
