GENEVA — A UN human rights expert on Wednesday condemned a "tragic
failure" by major powers to end Israel's blockade of the Gaza Strip or
probe alleged war crimes committed during a military offensive one
year ago.
The UN Special Rapporteur for the Occupied Palestinian Territories,
Richard Falk, urged Israel's European and North American allies to
press for the immediate end of the blockade "backed up by a credible
threat of economic sanctions."
"There is no evidence of meaningful international pressure being
brought to bear to end the blockade or to ensure that Israeli and
Hamas officials are held accountable for alleged war crimes
perpetrated during the Gaza attacks," he said in a statement.
"This represents both a tragic failure of responsibility by the
powerful governments of the world and of the UN," he added.
Israel launched a devastating 22 day military offensive dubbed
Operation Cast Lead on the Hamas-ruled territory on December 27, 2008.
"People of conscience everywhere, as well as governments worldwide and
the United Nations, should take note of the dire situation in Gaza,"
said Falk.
"The ordeal of the 1.5 million residents of Gaza affected by the
Israeli blockade, over half of whom are children, has been allowed to
continue without any formal objection by governments and at the UN."
Falk said a three-year blockade had stopped enough food and medicine
reaching civilians in Gaza, harming their physical and mental health,
and was still hampering reconstruction.
He also called for full and swift implementation of the conclusions of
a UN human rights investigation led by Richard Goldstone.
The Goldstone report adopted in October recommended that Israel and
Hamas should face possible prosecution at the International Criminal
Court, if they fail to conduct credible investigations into war crimes
within six months.

In all the long Oslo speech, Obama devoted 16 whole words to us: “We
see it in Middle East, as the conflict between Arabs and Jews seems to
harden.”
Well, first of all, it is not a conflict between Arabs and Jews. It is
between Palestinians and Israelis. That is an important difference:
when one wants to solve a problem, one must first have a clear picture
of it.
More importantly: This is the remark of a bystander. A viewer sitting
in his armchair and looking at the TV screen. A theater critic
reviewing a performance. Should the President of the United States
look at the conflict like this?
If the conflict is indeed hardening, the US, and Obama personally,
must carry much of the blame. His folding up on the settlement issue
and his total surrender to the pro-Israel lobby in the US has
encouraged our government to believe that it can do anything it likes.
At the beginning, Binyamin Netanyahu was worried about the new
president. But the fear has dissipated, and now our government is
treating Obama and his people with scorn bordering on contempt. The
agreements made with the last administration are being broken quite
openly. President George W. Bush recognized the “settlement blocs” in
return for an undertaking to freeze all the others permanently and to
dismantle the outposts set up since March 2001. Not only has not a
single outpost been dismantled, but this week the government accorded
the status of “preferred area” to dozens of settlements outside the
“blocs”, including the worst Kahanist nests. From one of these, the
thugs went out this week and set fire to a mosque.
The “freeze” is a joke. In this theater of the absurd, the settlers
take part in a performance of violent opposition that is both invited
and paid for by the government. The police does not employ against
them pepper gas, tear gas, rubber bullets and truncheons – as they do
every week against Israeli demonstrators who protest against the
occupation. Nor do they conduct nightly incursions in the settlements
to arrest activists – as they do now in Bilin and other Palestinian
villages.
In Jerusalem, of course, the settlement activity is in full swing.
Palestinian families are thrown out of their homes to the jubilant
cries of the settlers, and the few Israeli protesters against the
injustice are sent to hospitals and prisons. The settler groups
engaged in these activities receive donations from the US that are tax-
deductible – thus Obama is indirectly paying for the very acts he
condemns.

Actually, I've heard that after his meeting with Obama, Netayanhu got
serious about freezing construction. So much so that there was a

Israelis, unlike the Paleosimians, aren't attacking women and
children. Unfortunately, Pallies had a bad habit as of 1-2 years ago
of using schools, hospitals, and apartment buildings for setting up
mortars and rocket launchers. If anyone is genuinely surprised that a
rocket launcher or mortar firing on civilian targets in Israel is
eventually targeted for elimination, they are not very bright.

How To Explain American Apathy Over Israeli Killings of Palestinian
Children?

Nothing has deepened the collective despair that is life in
Palestine today more than the killing of children, nor has any one
dimension produced greater anger and fuel for the intifada. Though it
may be so common now that it is hardly noticed in Israel, every
injured or dead child is mourned by the 1.7 million Palestinians
resisting occupation.
"They steal our land, imprison our leaders, and deny us our flag
and peace, but we will forgive them when we have our state, " said the
father of Said, a boy killed in Rafah. "But to keep shooting our
children; this I cannot forgive..."
A week after Said's death, his 19-year-old brother was also
killed by IDF troops in Rafah.
Some places in Palestine seem to have become Israeli free-fire
zones for children. In the Shatti refugee camp in Gaza, for example,
10 of the 19 civilians shot dead by the IDF during the uprising have
been under 16 years of age. Among them were three girls, a 3-year-old,
a 6-year-old and a 1 0-year-old, all shot to death within a
three-month period at the end of 1989.
"Do the Israelis think that by shooting our children they can
make us submit?" asks Ahmed, a Shatti resident. "Is it supposed to cow
us or lessen our resolve? Every new martyr confirms again to all why
we must rid ourselves of this occupation."
While the blood of Palestinian children obviously seems cheap to
the Israeli soldiers spilling it, Palestinian parents are at a loss to
understand how the Israeli public justifies and the American public
ignores the killing of their children.
"When my son was killed the entire camp defied the curfew and
beatings to pay him respect," says the mother of Bassani, a
12-year-old killed by an Israeli Defense Forces sniper while tending
sheep during the curfew last February. "The people know his blood is
for Palestine and they supported us during our pain and loss. There is
no greater sacrifice than to lose your child, and there is nothing
greater to sacrifice for than your freedom and country. Still, it
hurts so."
Whether American correspondents are to blame, or whether the
fault lies with dishonest editors, US newspapers are not informing the
American public concerning the frequency with which Palestinian
children have been killed by Israeli soldiers over the past four
years. From Dec. 12, 1990 to April 1, 199 1, for example, 14
Palestinian children under the age of 16 were shot dead. During the
same period of time in the first year of the intifada, 15 kids were
killed by gunfire. In all, 239 children have been killed by Israeli
forces during the uprising, while more than 55,000 more have been
seriously wounded.
"What is the most disturbing fact about the numbers concerning
injured children is that the soldiers don't seem to care who is in the
sight at the end of their rifles when they pull the trigger," says Dr.
Adnan Marshoud, a physician at Shifa Hospital in Gaza. "To most of
them, we must be animals, not living and breathing human beings. They
don't consider that we love our children, or the pain and anger that
burns us when our children are killed or injured."
According to UNRWA statistics compiled just in the Gaza Strip
from the start of the intifada to the first of March this year, 19,715
children under the age of 15 required medical attention due to IDF
acts of violence. Of these, 2,590 were wounded by live ammunition, not
rubber bullets.
"What do they say in America to justify shooting our children?"
is perhaps the most common question asked of foreigners in Palestine.
Always, I wonder if "they don't know" can really be an acceptable
answer.
Rivaling the absolute evil in any situation in which soldiers
kill unarmed civilians (not to mention children) are the tactics of
hard-line supporters of present Israeli government policies. It defies
logic to claim moral superiority and refuse to talk with the PLO
because it is just a "terrorist organization," while Israeli troops
continue to entrap and shoot children on a rather consistent basis.
Even more sickening is the hypocrisy displayed by all sides of
Israel's political establishment, as if Israel's leaders are not
really responsible for the acts that take place on the ground in
Palestine. How is it Defense Minister Moshe Arens can call the Arabs
"an uncivilized people" who "don't value human life, " when Israeli
troops have killed dozens and maimed hundreds of children just in the
period he has been minister of defense. Is he really such a hypocrite,
or does he truly think the circumstances and manner in which his
troops have shot children indiscriminately go unnoticed?
And who can still believe Yossi Sarid, a left-wing politican
from the "peace camp, " when he writes that the "stray bullets" that
"find" Palestinian children "pierced our hearts as well"? Leaders with
"pierced hearts" would demand that their own children stop the
slaughter in which more than 10,000 Palestinian children have been
shot over a four-year period.
Four years is enough time for both Israelis and Palestinians to
contemplate the directions in which they are heading, and to alter
their course if it involves acts for which they do not wish to be held
responsible.
Zion has decided that land is of greater value than the lives of
those living on it. For its part, the occupied population has pledged
not to submit to foreign domination, whatever the costs and suffering.
Thus, it seems the unequal relationship that has spilled so much
needless blood is to continue to be one based on domination and
hatred. And, unless Israelis come to their senses, or Americans refuse
to further condone their actions, the killing of Palestinian children
will continue unabated.

children themselves) to target Israeli civilians and children on
school buses, in ice cream parlors, in day care centers and anywhere
else they can MAXIMIZE the loss of innocent life. In addition, Hamas
is responsible for the death of PALESTINIAN children by setting up
mortar and rocket launchers in schools, hospitals, apartment buildings
and other buildings and facilities in civilian neighborhoods, in
direct violation of the Geneva Convention. In effect it is Hamas who
is killing Palestinian children as part of a deliberate policy of
maximizing Palestinian casualties and inflaming the Arab world.
The fact of the matter is that an unholy alliance of Lefty Liberal goo-
goos and neo-Nazi thugs deliberately distorts the Palestinian
conflict. There is no distinct ethnic "Palestinian" identity nor was
there ever an organic Palestinian national movement. The
"Palestinian" people (i.e. the occupants of the West Bank and the
Gaza Strip) merely serve as cannon fodder as part of the ongoing proxy
war against Israel by the Arab states. The fact that the citizens of
the Gaza Strip have freely voted a known terrorist organization to be
their elected representatives doesn't help the situation either.
Groups like Hamas and Hizbollah do not benefit from peace, so it is in
their own interests and political survival to ensure that anarchy,
bloodshed, and misery perpetuates itself in the Palestinian
territories. Your nonsense does not fly with those who have spent time
in the middle east and actually know something about the situation,

Drivel. Monthly salaries of about 130,000 government palsimians total
$21 mln., exceeding the annual food budget of the zambian refugee

Stuart Littlewood shows how Israel's public relations strategy frames
and defines the situation in Israel's own terms regardless of the
truth and, using advanced propaganda skills and the elaborate Israel
lobby network, it seeks to persuade Western politicians and media to
accept Israel's version of events.
While the murderous assault on Gaza continues, I notice there's a
briefing document on the website of the Israeli Embassy in London
which has a lie in every line. The West's mainstream media repeat
them, and even the most senior TV and radio interviewers don't bother
to challenge them.
The document is a transcript of Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni's
statement to the Israeli press dated 27 December 2008 - a day that
will live in infamy. It is a perfect example of the falsehoods used to
dupe not only us Westerners but Israel's own people. The statement
shows how the regime's view of itself is constructed on a web of
dishonesty and self-delusion.
For example:
* "Israeli citizens have been under the threat of daily attack from
Gaza for years."
Palestinians have been under harsh Israeli occupation for 60 years.
* "Only this week hundreds of missiles and mortars shells were fired
at Israeli civilian communities."
Only one in 500 Qassam rockets causes a fatality. How many
thousands of Israeli bombs, missiles, rockets, grenades and
tank-shells have been blasted into the crowded city and towns of the
Gaza Strip by Israel's high-tech weaponry??
* "Until now we have shown restraint. But today there is no other
option than a military operation."
The only legitimate option for Israel is to end the occupation
and withdraw behind its 1967 border, as required under international
law and UN resolutions. Israel has been killing Palestinians at the
rate of 8 to 1 since 2000, and children at the rate of nearly 12 to 1
(B'Tselem figures). This is somebody's idea of restraint?
* "We need to protect our citizens from attack through a military
response against the terror infrastructure in Gaza."
Self-defence is not a right exclusive to Israel. Palestinians
have an equal right to protect their citizens from the terror tactics
of Israel.
* "Israel left Gaza in order to create an opportunity for peace."
Israel never left Gaza. It still occupies Gaza's airspace and
coastal waters and controls all entrances and exits.
* "In return, the Hamas terror organization took control of Gaza
and is using its citizens as cover while it deliberately targets
Israeli communities and denies any chance for peace."
Hamas was voted into power as the legitimate government of
Palestine. Israel chose not to accept the people's choice, which
amounted to a denial of their human rights, and immediately set about
obliterating it.
* "We have tried everything to reach calm without using force. We
agreed to a truce through Egypt that was violated by Hamas, which
continued to target Israel, hold Gilad Shalit and build up its arms."
Try talking. The Israelis' ongoing siege and economic blockade,
begun shortly after Hamas was elected early in 2006, was never going
to generate calm. And why is Shalit considered more important than the
9,000 Palestinians abducted and held prisoner by Israel? As soon as a
Hamas government was formed Israeli troops arrested eight Hamas
ministers and 20 other parliamentarians, making the work of government
impossible.
* "Israel continues to act to prevent humanitarian crisis and to
minimize harm to Palestinian civilians."
Every agency operating in Gaza has warned of the deepening
humanitarian crisis and protested about the starvation and suffering,
especially of children many of whom show evidence of stunted growth.
* "The responsibility for harm to civilians lies with Hamas."
Not according to the Fourth Geneva Convention.
* "Hamas is a terrorist organization, supported by Iran, that
does not represent the legitimate national interests of the
Palestinian people but a radical Islamist agenda that seeks to deny
peace for the peoples of this region."
Hamas was the popular choice of Palestinians at the last
election. It is entitled under international law to take up arms
against an illegal occupier and invader. If it is supported by Iran,
so what? Israel receives mega-support from the US. When it comes to
terror, it is Israel's conduct which fits the US definition of
terrorism so perfectly
- see Bush's Executive Order 13224, Section 3.
* "While confronting Hamas, Israel continues to believe in the
two-state solution and remains committed to negotiations with the
legitimate Palestinian Authority in the context of the peace process,
launched at Annapolis."
Israel is busy establishing irreversible facts on the ground
that make a viable Palestinian state impossible. As everyone knows,
the regime has reneged on the peace process and carries on building
illegal settlements and the illegal Wall, and demolishing Palestinian
homes. Months ago Hamas accepted a Palestinian state based on
internationally recognized (pre-1967) borders, in accordance with UN
resolutions, with full sovereignty and its capital in Jerusalem, but
this has been ignored. Hamas also offered a 10-year truce, also
ignored. Earlier, Yasser Arafat and the Palestine Liberation
Organization recognized the State of Israel in the Oslo agreement but
what good did it do? Today's US-backed, Fatah-controlled Palestinian
Authority is not representative of the Palestinian people.
* "Israel expects the support and understanding of the
international community, as it confronts terror, and advances the
interest of all those who wish the forces of peace and co existence to
determine the agenda of this region."
Israel, next to the US, is the biggest purveyor of terror in the
region and only advances its own interests. It may get the support of
Israel lobby stooges in other Western governments but is rapidly
earning the contempt of everybody else.
From a statement dated 22 December 2008:
* "Hamas, backed by Iran, has regularly stated its desire to see
the complete destruction of Israel."
Israel is itself a leading destroyer and currently engaged in
trying to wipe out Hamas and the Gazans. Iran's President Ahmadinajad
quoted the late Ayatollah Khomeini as saying that "this regime
occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time" - fair comment
considering that Jerusalem, with Bethlehem, was designated an
"international city" under the UN Partition Plan. Israeli propaganda
twisted the Iranian's words to read "Israel must be wiped off the
map". Zionist sources and the manifestos of Israeli political parties
have made it clear for a long time that Israel plans to wipe Palestine
off the map, and every act and lie is directed towards that end.
* "Our fight is not with the people of Gaza; it is with the
extremists of Hamas."
Then why does the Israeli navy harass and fire on peaceable
Gazan fishermen who are well within their own territorial waters? Why
does Israel prevent Palestinian students from taking up places at
foreign universities and block hospital spares, medicines, foodstuffs
and foreign medics from entering Gaza? Why has the Israeli navy just
rammed a mercy vessel in international waters taking doctors and
medicines to Gaza? Latest air strikes have hit the Islamic University
and the Ministry of Education. These are direct attacks on Gazan civil
society and its infrastructure.
* "Hamas started this conflict, and it bears responsibility for
any harm to civilians on either side."
The conflict, started by Jewish terrorists, has been going on
for 60 years, decades before Hamas came into being.
* "Israel's only responsibility is to protect Israeli citizens."
As the occupying power Israel has a duty to see that the people
of the occupied territories come to no harm.
* "Just as Israel seeks to defend its civilian population, Hamas
seeks to kill them."
This reads far better the other way round: "Just as Hamas seeks
to defend its civilian population, Israel seeks to kill them."
* "Rocket attacks have continued for years and are now a daily
occurrence. How long does the international community expect Israel
will wait before defending itself against them?"
The rocket attacks will end when Israel ends the occupation and
stops terrorizing its neighbours.
* "In the south of Israel, Israeli citizens live with air raid
sirens sounding every day - sometimes every hour. Their situation is
intolerable."
Not half as intolerable as it is for the Gazans, who live in
constant fear of air raids and re-invasion and are constantly under
surveillance by armed drones which can fire missiles under computer
control from an armchair in Israeli headquarters.
* "For years, the international community has turned a blind eye
to this onslaught. Only when Israel seeks to stop the rockets do they
take notice."
For years the international community has turned a blind eye to
Israel's violations of international law and human rights, which is
why the problem remains unsolved.
* "Hamas is not only the enemy of Israel - it is the enemy of
every Palestinian who believes in peace."
Israelis just can't come to terms with the Palestinians'
democratic choice and are bent on obliterating it.
* "It is Hamas' attacks - not Israel's reactions - that destroy
every opportunity we have for peace."
The world has managed to work out by now that Israel doesn't
want peace until it has stolen all the land and water it needs to
expand its racist state into a "Greater Israel". It is well on the way
to achieving this and won't be thwarted.
* "Palestinian militants targeted by Israel are not just the
enemies of the Israeli people; they are criminals under international
law, and enemies of peace."
Israel is in no position to preach international law.
* "What is collective punishment? 'Collective punishment' is a
city - schools, hospitals, homes - civilians being bombarded every
single day by rockets and mortars."
Collective punishment is keeping a whole population bottled up
under siege and blocking supplies and exports, smashing their
infrastructure, wrecking their economy and starving their children.
Trying to equate Sderot with what's happening in the Gaza Strip is
idiotic.
* "Today's Middle East is divided between extremists and
pragmatists. Hamas, backed by Iran, belongs to the extremists, who
must be defeated for the sake of the future of the Middle East...
Israel's primary goal is peace."
Israel's primary goal is the expansion of Israel by making the
occupation of the West Bank permanent and bringing the Gazans to their
knees.
The core issue in this struggle is the illegality of Israel's brutal
occupation. Israel goes to great lengths to avoid and suppress all
mention of it and play-acts the pathetic victim. As the official
statements (above) show, the strategy is to frame and define the
situation in Israel's own terms regardless of the truth. It uses
advanced propaganda skills, and the elaborate Israel lobby network, to
persuade Western politicians and media to accept Israel's version of
events (and even use Israel's biased language) and not question its
motives.
In political public relations terms it works wonderfully well. The
loony leaders of my own government happily spread the poison and don't
seem interested in halting Israeli aggression and the vaporizing,
dismembering and crushing of Gaza's population. In human PR terms it
is a disaster.
I have been listening to the BBC's senior interviewers these last few
days. None has had the gumption to ask Israeli spokesmen the only
question that matters - the "killer" question on which hangs the key
to peace: WHEN IS ISRAEL GOING TO END ITS OCCUPATION AND RETURN TO THE
PALESTINIANS THEIR LANDS AND FREEDOM?

"Witnesses watched as more than 60 Palestinian shops were bulldozed to
the ground this week in one West Bank village, while the owners stood
by and watch helplessly. But not one American in ten saw or heard
about this in the US press.
An educated American pro-life activist was surprised to disbelief
when I told him that the Israeli death losses run about one-fourth the
number or Palestinians killed by Israelis. He thought the statistics
were reversed, having never heard or seen a count in the US press, he
has been brain scrubbed. Misinformation by the US press is not
excusable in the Internet age. So Israel has provided an Orwellian
propaganda filter called the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs
(IMFA) that makes it all possible. It provides the convenient excuse
the US press needs to look the other way and print abridged stories,
keeping most of us ignorant.
The propaganda arm of the Israeli military has once again been caught
purposefully lying about the death count among its forces. We believe
their purpose in doing this is to condition Americans into accepting
Israel's use of American-made weapons of mass destruction against the
vulnerable civilian population in Gaza and the West Bank. Israel's
willing facilitator is the US Media, which spreads their distorted
stories in the USA. This same pattern of misrepresentation is repeated
again and again, proving how important and routine propaganda is to
Israel.
On December 5th, the IMFA released an account of two suspected
sacrifice bombers (wrongly called suicide bombers*) who allegedly
killed 22 persons and wounded more than 100. But the press release
failed to mention that there were also Israeli military casualties in
the raid. Furthermore, their account omitted the fact that a female
army sergeant was among the killed. The omission is significant. It
fits perfectly into the predictable pattern of how the IMFA deceives
Americans almost daily. This practice repeatedly uses almost every
report of Israeli deaths to distort the facts of their conflict with
the Palestinians. We will now teach you how to read between the lies
and know when the story is distorted.
THE PATTERN OF DECEPTION
On November 19, 2002, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs (IMFA)
re-manufactured a similar story about a Palestinian sacrifice raid on
a military target. Twelve Israeli soldiers and paramilitary fighting
men were killed and there was no collateral damage (civilians dead).
The propagandists changed the "facts" to call the raid a "Massacre of
innocent (Israeli) civilians," as the story was carried in the US
press. It is a total and complete bald-faced lie, which We Hold These

This writer put the facts together from the Israeli military's own
documents one month after the event was misreported. Do you, dear
reader, know how to recognize such lies for yourself so you don't have
to wait for us to unravel it for you? To do this one must first
understand the quaint language of the IMFA. We call these lies
"z-facts" (short for Zionist facts) meaning lies that are couched in
official, narrative sounding language but are indeed untrue. Here is
how the Hebron report was distorted by z- facts, which the Media
reported as rear facts. The first release from the IMFA read:
"THE TERROR ATTACK IN HEBRON CLAIMED 12 LIVES." and "PALESTINIAN
GUNMEN" had opened fire on "JEWISH WORSHIPPERS WALKING HOME FROM
RELIGIOUS SERVICES,"
Z-facts differ from bald-faced lies because they do not state outright
all the killed or wounded are civilians, but it is clearly implied.
(In those rare cases where everyone killed are indeed civilian, the
IMFA says so and saves its lies for a later day.) The truth is told
only if it suits the teller. By calling an attack on an armed military
unit a "terror attack" on "Jewish worshipers" and "claiming 12 lives,"
the z-facts leave the a clear impression that those killed were
civilians. Any honest account would have called it "an attack on
Israeli military unit by Palestinian guerillas" etc. In our previous
article we explained the procedure as follows: "The Israeli Ministry
of Foreign Affairs is a propaganda arm of the Israeli Defense Force
(IDF).-They are the first to know who is killed. But they cause the
story to be circulated that all killed were civilians because it
serves their purpose. Then, once the misinformation has reached the
American public, the corrected story is allowed to surface in Israel,
though the false images are never corrected in the eyes of the

In January 5th story Israel did it again. This time every one of our
readers should have detected the lie without being told. The press in
both countries used the same predictable, deceptive language. Each
stated "22 Israelis" had been killed and many more wounded. Had all
those killed or wounded had been non-military the report would most
likely have called them "civilians." The generic term "Israelis"
suggest to us that the IMFA is hiding something, not wanting to
identify who was really killed. They were.
Later the same day, a sad corrected story was carried with the names
of those killed. The IMFA stated that all of the victims had been
identified and included Staff Sgt. Mazal Orkobi of Azor. Ha'aretz
subsequently revealed in an obituary that Sgt. Orkobi was a 20
year-old female who was on her first day of active duty with the
Israeli Defense Forces. But this part of the story never reached the
USA. Nor can we find a disclosure as to how many of the 120 wounded
were military. As usual, the IMFA did not disclose those who were in
the active reserves but not on duty at the time of death...
But because military were killed and possibly wounded, no one can
conclude they targeted civilians. In all but a few sacrifice bombings
military are killed or wounded. The IMFA had two reasons for keeping
Sergeant Orkobi's name out of the print. They can garner sympathy for
their air raids if the American public believes the sacrifice bombers
are targeting civilians only. Israel kills Palestinian civilians by
the dozens and do not even bother to apologize.
The second reason Israel keeps Sergeant Orkobi's name out of
American's minds is that most do not know that Israeli's draft their
girls and puts them in harms way. If American Christians knew about
the mistreatment of Israeli women, including the use of Military-paid
abortion as a birth control method, many would wonder about their
unquestioned support of the Israeli war machine.
Christian Israeli Patriots such as Pat Robertson, Franklin Graham and
Jerry Falwell, who Ariel Sharon calls the Christian Zionists, might be
embarrassed to explain their undying devotion to a regime which drafts
women into combat, marches them hip to hip with men, and provides free
abortions for the resulting problems. Some might wake up and actually
wonder if boys and girls are conditioned to kill and torture
Palestinian including children. Israel and a complicit US Media solve
these twin problems by doctoring press releases with false statements
that omit the loss of military personnel in guerilla raids. Female
names are never associated with the military even though they make up
about 1/3 of the total draftees.
("Suicide bomber:" Suicide is the act of taking ones one life for the
purpose of ending it. Sacrifice bombers have never been shown to have
a desire to stop living; their motive is to find and destroy enemy
personal regardless of the cost. Thus the term "sacrifice bombers" is
more accurate in describing them. The former is an Israeli propaganda
label.)

Excerpts from an e-mail from Rachel Corrie to her family on
February 7, 2003 from the Gaza Strip.
I have been in Palestine for two weeks and one hour now, and I
still have very few words to describe what I see. It is most difficult
for me to think about what's going on here when I sit down to write
back to the United States--something about the virtual portal into
luxury. I don't know if many of the children here have ever existed
without tank-shell holes in their walls and the towers of an occupying
army surveying them constantly from the near horizons. I think,
although I'm not entirely sure, that even the smallest of these
children understand that life is not like this everywhere. An
eight-year-old was shot and killed by an Israeli tank two days before
I got here, and many of the children murmur his name to me, Ali--or
point at the posters of him on the walls.
The children also love to get me to practice my limited Arabic by
asking me "Kaif Sharon?" "Kaif Bush?" and they laugh when I say "Bush
Majnoon" "Sharon Majnoon" back in my limited Arabic. (How is Sharon?
How is Bush? Bush is crazy. Sharon is crazy.) Of course this isn't
quite what I believe, and some of the adults who have the English
correct me: Bush mish Majnoon... Bush is a businessman. Today I tried
to learn to say "Bush is a tool", but I don't think it translated
quite right. But anyway, there are eight-year- olds here much more
aware of the workings of the global power structure than I was just a
few years ago--at least regarding Israel.
Nevertheless, I think about the fact that no amount of reading,
attendance at conferences, documentary viewing and word of
mouth could have prepared me for the reality of the situation here.
You just can't imagine it unless you see it, and even then you are
always well aware that your experience is not at all the reality: what
with the difficulties the Israeli Army would face if they shot an
unarmed US citizen, and with the fact that I have money to buy water
when the army destroys wells, and, of course, the fact that I have the
option of leaving. Nobody in my family has been shot, driving in their
car, by a rocket launcher from a tower at the end of a major street in
my hometown. I have a home. I am allowed to go see the ocean.
Ostensibly it is still quite difficult for me to be held for months or
years on end without a trial (this because I am a white US citizen, as
opposed to so many others). When I leave for school or work I can be
relatively certain that there will not be a heavily armed soldier
waiting half way between Mud Bay and downtown Olympia at a
checkpoint?a soldier with the power to decide whether I can go about
my business, and whether I can get home again when I'm done. So, if I
feel outrage at arriving and entering briefly and incompletely into
the world in, I wonder conversely about how it would be for them to
arrive in my world.
They know that children in the United States don't usually have their
parents shot and they know they sometimes get to see the ocean.
But once you have seen the ocean and lived in a silent place, where
water is taken for granted and not stolen in the night by bulldozers,
and once you have spent an evening when you haven't wondered if
the walls of your home might suddenly fall inward waking you from
your sleep, and once you've met people who have never lost anyone--
once you have experienced the reality of a world that isn't surrounded
by murderous towers, tanks, armed "settlements" and now a giant
metal wall, I wonder if you can forgive the world for all the years of
your childhood spent existing--just existing--in resistance to the
constant stranglehold of the world's fourth largest military--backed
by the world's only superpower--in it's attempt to erase you from your
home. That is something I wonder about these children. I wonder
what would happen if they really knew.
As an afterthought to all this rambling, I am in Rafah, a city of
about 140,000 people, approximately 60 percent of whom are refugees--
many of whom are twice or three times refugees. Rafah existed prior
to 1948, but most of the people here are themselves or are descendants
of people who were relocated here from their homes in historic
Palestine--now Israel. Rafah was split in half when the Sinai returned
to Egypt. Currently, the Israeli army is building a
fourteen-meter-high wall between Rafah in Palestine and the border,
carving a no-mans land from the houses along the border. Six hundred
and two homes have been completely bulldozed according to the Rafah
Popular Refugee Committee. The number of homes that have been
partially destroyed is greater.
Today as I walked on top of the rubble where homes once stood,
Egyptian soldiers called to me from the other side of the border,
"Go! Go!" because a tank was coming. Followed by waving and
"what's your name?". There is something disturbing about this
friendly curiosity. It reminded me of how much, to some degree, we
are all kids curious about other kids: Egyptian kids shouting at
strange women wandering into the path of tanks. Palestinian kids shot
from the tanks when they peak out from behind walls to see what's
going on. International kids standing in front of tanks with banners.
Israeli kids in the tanks anonymously, occasionally shouting-- and
also occasionally waving--many forced to be here, many just
aggressive, shooting into the houses as we wander away.
In addition to the constant presence of tanks along the border and
in the western region between Rafah and settlements along the coast,
there are more IDF towers here than I can count--along the horizon,at
the end of streets. Some just army green metal. Others these strange
spiral staircases draped in some kind of netting to make the activity
within anonymous. Some hidden,just beneath the horizon of buildings.
A new one went up the other day in the time it took us to do laundry
and to cross town twice to hang banners. Despite the fact that some of
the areas nearest the border are the original Rafah with families who
have lived on this land for at least a century, only the 1948 camps in
the center of the city are Palestinian controlled areas under Oslo.
But as far as I can tell, there are few if any places that are not
within the sights of some tower or another. Certainly there is no
place invulnerable to apache helicopters or to the cameras of
invisible drones we hear buzzing over the city for hours at a time.
I've been having trouble accessing news about the outside world here,
but I hear an escalation of war on Iraq is inevitable. There is a
great deal of concern here about the "reoccupation of Gaza." Gaza is
reoccupied every day to various extents, but I think the fear is that
the tanks will enter all the streets and remain here, instead of
entering some of the streets and then withdrawing after some hours or
days to observe and shoot from the edges of the communities. If people
aren't already thinking about the consequences of this war for the
people of the entire region then I hope they will start.
I also hope you'll come here. We've been wavering between five
and six internationals. The neighborhoods that have asked us for
some form of presence are Yibna, Tel El Sultan, Hi Salam, Brazil,
Block J, Zorob, and Block O. There is also need for constant night-
time presence at a well on the outskirts of Rafah since the Israeli
army destroyed the two largest wells. According to the municipal
water office the wells destroyed last week provided half of Rafah's
water supply. Many of the communities have requested internationals
to be present at night to attempt to shield houses from further
demolition. After about ten p.m. it is very difficult to move at night
because the Israeli army treats anyone in the streets as resistance
and shoots at them. So clearly we are too few.
I continue to believe that my home, Olympia, could gain a lot and
offer a lot by deciding to make a commitment to Rafah in the form of a
sister-community relationship. Some teachers and children's groups
have expressed interest in e-mail exchanges, but this is only the tip
of the iceberg of solidarity work that might be done. Many people want
their voices to be heard, and I think we need to use some of our
privilege as internationals to get those voices heard directly in the
US, rather than through the filter of well-meaning internationals such
as myself. I am just beginning to learn, from what I expect to be a
very intense tutelage, about the ability of people to organize against
all odds, and to resist against all odds.
Thanks for the news I've been getting from friends in the US. I just
read a report back from a friend who organized a peace group in
Shelton, Washington, and was able to be part of a delegation to the
large January 18th protest in Washington DC. People here watch the
media, and they told me again today that there have been large
protests in the United States and "problems for the government" in the
UK. So thanks for allowing me to not feel like a complete polyanna
when I tentatively tell people here that many people in the United
States do not support the policies of our government, and that we are
learning from global examples how to resist.

"After the Second World War, shortly before the United Nations
partition of Palestine into separate Jewish and non-Jewish areas, Jews
still made up less than one-third of the population of Palestine. The
1946 British census counted 608,000 Jews out of a total population of

Palestinians and terrorizing tens of thousands of others into fleeing
from their homes, which immediately were seized and occupied by the
Jews. In a series of wars since 1948, the Jews, backed by the United
States, seized even more Palestinian land. The Palestinians who were
driven from their land-the real Palestinians, whose parents and
grandparents and great-grandparents had owned the land-were forced
into crowded and dirty refugee camps, where they still live. And
whenever one of these dispossessed Palestinians strikes back at the
Jews who stole his country from him, everyone in the Bush government,
from the chief liar on down, and everyone in the controlled media here
denounces the Palestinian as a "terrorist"-and all of the Sally
Soccermoms and Joe Sixpacks nod in agreement.
I'll tell you about one of these Palestinian "terrorists" you've
certainly heard mentioned by the media if you pay any attention at all
to what's happening in the world. He's called Abu Nidal: the most
feared Palestinian "terrorist" of them all. The name the man called
Abu Nidal was born with is Sabri al-Banna. He was born in 1937 in the
Palestinian coastal city of Jaffa. His family was one of the
wealthiest and most distinguished families in Palestine and owned,
among other things, more than 6,000 acres of orange orchards, which
were the major source of income for the family. When Sabri al-Banna
was an 11-year-old schoolboy, the Jews seized all of his family's
orchards and other lands, all of their houses, and everything else his
family owned, and he and his family ended up living in a tent in a
refugee camp in the Gaza strip. Quite a shock for a quiet,
introverted little boy.
The shock led him to dedicate his life to evening the score, to
gaining justice for his people, to striking back at the Jews who had
stolen all of his family's property and driven them into a refugee
camp. He built what was probably the most highly disciplined and
ruthless fighting organization on the Palestinian side. He struck not
only at Jews but also at Palestinians who collaborated or compromised
with the Jews. Whenever Abu Nidal's troops would strike,
machine-gunning Israeli tourists at an airport or bombing some Jewish
facility in another country, the politicians and the media here always
would go into hysterics about Arab "terrorism." I always cheered. Abu
Nidal is not some crazed murderer who likes to kill people. He is a
Palestinian patriot fighting for his people and for his country in the
only way he can fight under the circumstances. He does not "hate
America's freedom" as George Bush and the media would have you
believe. There is no reason for him to be an enemy of America, except
that we have made him an enemy by arming and financing the Jews who
stole his family's orange groves and forced him into a refugee camp.
Remember that whenever you buy an orange that came into America from
Israel: one of those sweet Jaffa oranges that are so favored by New
York Jews. That orange is stolen property. It belongs to Abu Nidal. It
was stolen from him by the Jew who sold it to you."

One Man's Terrorist...
"Perception is all - or almost all. Perception can be shaped and
moulded by the conditioning of the mass media, which unkind folk might
prefer to call 'brainwashing'. We, playing follow my leader to the
Americans, are now part of what is termed a 'War against Terror'.
Whilst involved in this war we can afford to send forth large convoys
of vehicles to some desert, at the same time as NHS dentistry crumbles
at home, and water bills rise to extortionate levels. If these trends
continue, maybe we can look forward to seeing an �lite of Mandelson
clones in smart suits lording it over grubby, toothless proles!
But this not the first 'War on Terror'. Sixty years ago Germany and
the other Axis powers were convinced that they were fighting a war
against terror.
The French Resistance were termed terrorists: even RAF Bomber Command
were referred to as the terrorflieger. The Soviet partisans were seen
as terrorists who had slain several hundred thousand German soldiers.
Looming over all this was the perceived Judaic role in Communism which
had almost annihilated the old, predominately Germanic ruling �lite in
Russia. According to Alexander Solzhenitsyn, the chief concentration
camp boss supervising this slaughter was Naftaly Frenkel, a Turkish
Jew.
Indeed the association of certain highly-placed Jews with Communism
wasn't just a perception of the Germans, but a reality noted by many
different commentators. A novel such as John Buchan's Thirty Nine
Steps used that fact as a plot background. Eric Hobsbawm recorded in
one of his histories that the small Egyptian communist party had an
almost wholly Jewish membership. Writing in the 50s, Daily Telegraph
Foreign Correspondent Lovat F. Edwards commented that Communism had
very little appeal to Arabs because they were inclined to equate it
with 'Judaisation'.
Today the US r�gime goes to war, and justifies slaughter and
destruction on massive scale by a perceived 'offence', but are their
reasons perhaps less convincing than those of the Germans? I have
written myself on the many anomalies surrounding the September 11th
attacks (see Spearhead No. 423). From the five dancing Israelis
filming the collapsing Twin Towers, to a crashing aircraft at the
Pentagon that leaves no debris or lawn damage, almost nothing makes
sense if we follow the official story. Indeed, the most wacky
conspiracy theory of all now seems to be that it was all planned and
perpetrated by a man with a beard and turban stuck in a fortified
Afghan cave.
No top Americans killed
Then again, while Germans such as Ernst von Rath and Wilhelm Gustloff
fell to the bullets of 'Jewish extremist' terrorists, no American
politicians or officials have been shot down by 'Islamic extremist'
gunmen from the possibly semi-mythic Al Qaeda. We are also expected to
surrender our ancient liberties in favour of ID cards and iris scans,
when Al Qaeda has caused no injuries or damage in this country
whatever. This is in stark contrast to the IRA or even the Irgun, who
blew up Rex Farran and injured three postmen in Britain during 1946.
Beyond this, there are no connections between Al Qaeda and Iraq, and
never were outside the fevered minds of Perle and Co. In fact,
recommended reading for everyone should be: 'How the US helped to
create a monster' by John Clarke, which appeared a few years ago in
the Irish Examiner.1
Yet this flimsy excuse has been used to wreak a trail of havoc and
destruction. At Fallujah, US forces have bombed hospitals, cut off
water supplies to civilians, and used napalm bombs. Like their Israeli
twins, snipers have targeted not only insurgents, but also old men,
women and children. Seventeen doctors and nurses were even gunned down
as they attempted to cross the Euphrates to aid the wounded. Civilians
have been shot as they attempted to wave white sheets to surrender.
The entire countryside has been poisoned by depleted uranium shells.
Germans were hung or imprisoned after World War II, often for doing
much, much less than has been perpetrated in Iraq over the past year
or two.
But the neocon journalist Ralph Peters, writing in the New York Post
took a sanguine view of the Fallujah slaughter, saying that:
'We don't need more complaints about our treatment of prisoners from
the global forces of appeasement. We need terrorists dead in the dust.
And the world needs to see their corpses...
'Even if Fallujah has to go the way of Carthage, reduced to shards,
the price will be worth it. We need to demonstrate our strength of
will to the world, to show that there is only one possible result when
madmen take on America.'
Incidentally, I've read through quite a number of articles in the
German wartime magazine Signal and never managed to find anything
remotely as bloodthirsty as this NYP piece. Has the USA reverted back
to the thinking behind the Book of Joshua and the injunction to
"destroy everything that breathes?"
What's happened in Iraq since the fall of Saddam has been simply
disgusting - more or less the murder of an entire society.
The man responsible
The article 'Apocalypse Now?'2 by Jonathan Mark, published in The
Jewish Week, had some remarkable things to say about the man with
ultimate responsibility for prosecuting the so-called 'War against
Terror'. Although - at times - coming over a lot like an
'anti-Semitic' parody, the essay was worthy of note for revealing the
thinking of some leading lights of the Lubavitch movement. Before
reading the quote, it should be explained that the word 'Ishmael'
symbolises the Arab and Muslim peoples, just as 'Esau' indicates
Christians and Europeans. It goes:
'"We usually think our ultimate enemy is Esau," says Rabbi Butman of
the metaphorical representative of Christianity. "Here, we see it is
Ishmael. Esau - the president and the Christian right - support us and
Ishmael is the culprit we're going to break now."
'Jewish religious conservatives aren't nervous, they're delighted.
Radio talk show host, Dennis Prager, writing for Jewish World Review,
an Orthodox online magazine, says, "To the extent that one is ever
able to see the hand of God in history... I believe that either divine
intervention or good luck on the magnitude of a lottery win explains
George W. Bush's rise to the position of president." Bush is
"remarkable," Rabbi Fund tells The Jewish Week, "the ultimate Shabbos
Goy."'3
There you have it: the "ultimate Shabbos Goy" has presided over a
holocaust of some 100,000 Iraqis, plus over 1,000 of his own troops.
Yet, finally it all comes down, as it usually does, to money, power
and (dis)information. The BBC or NBC will never reveal the truth, so
the misinformed and easily deceived can still go on believing in a
nice clean 'War against Terror', against all those evil men who hate
our freedoms blah blah... There could be endless TV documentaries on
the expulsion of the Palestinians, or memorials and museums of the
Iraqi Holocaust, but there are none.
It is also just a matter of perception: the perception of what is a
'War against Terror,' and what is a 'Holocaust.'

Unlike you, I have actually been to both Israel proper and the
Palestinian territories, so I have some first first-hand knowledge of
the situation, as opposed to your quotation of abstracts from Conspiro-

I believe I can, in one fell swoop prove that we have the
dumbest country on earth. All I need to do is mention that since 1948,
Americans have given Israel over 15 million dollars a day from your
salaries, paychecks and various earnings. No other nation on this
earth is dumb enough to do that not even the African ones. And to make
it worse you people do it gladly and with joy in your hearts. No one
complains, except me. Everyone else seems to think it is all right for
every American citizen to be robbed in this manner every day of their
lives with no end in sight. Can any nation be dumber that this? Most
Americans are so enslaved via Zionist propaganda and government
pronouncements that they think we owe this money so the Israelis can
live a much better life than in the good old USA. They have luxuries
you cannot afford. They take vacations all over the world which
Americans on average cannot afford. And when they do this they always
America and criticize you people who are the very ones who provide

Tiptoeing around Our Problems

"We've been talking about the very dangerous situation in the Middle
East recently, just because so much is happening there, and
undoubtedly we'll be talking about it much more in the future. For
that reason I want to make very clear what my motives and sympathies
are, lest I lead anyone astray and be thought a hypocrite for doing
so. First, regarding Palestine: although my sympathies definitely lie
with the Palestinians rather than with the Jews, it is not horror at
what the Jews are doing to the Palestinians that motivates me. What
motivates me is horror that my country is being used by the Jews in
their war against the Palestinians. If America were not involved at
all in the Middle East I still would sympathize with the Palestinians
and I would wish that they could be successful in driving the Jews
into the sea and annihilating the abomination that is Israel, but that
conflict between Jews and Palestinians would not be a major concern
for me. At least, my
concern there would be dwarfed by my concern for problems more
directly involving my own people in America and in Europe and in
southern Africa.
Even now, with money and weapons being supplied by America and used to
slaughter Palestinians, my concern is much less with monsters like
Ariel Sharon who are doing the slaughtering than it is with the filthy
creatures among my own people in America who are collaborating with
Jews here to keep the weapons and money flowing to Sharon -- and are
ready to do whatever else the Jews require of them here or abroad.
So when I tell you about Jews in occupied Palestine shooting
Palestinian children, and disapproval and anger are evident in my
voice, what I really am angry about is that the American people, my
people, are being used for this murderous activity. I am angry that
America's whole foreign policy has been perverted to serve Jewish
interests at the expense of American interests. I am angry that
America's political system has been perverted to ensure that we always
have so-called "leaders," whether Democrat or Republican, who are
dependent on the Jewish media or Jewish money or both for their
election and consequently will do the bidding of the Jews. I am angry
that our whole government is riddled with Jews -- Jews in our Defense
Department, Jews in our State
Department, Jews in our Immigration and Naturalization Service, Jews
in our Justice Department, Jews in the President's speech-writing
staff - who really set the policies of our government behind the
scenes, while the politicians are out front in the spotlight making
speeches and kissing babies - and doing as they're told by the Jews

Did you know that it was a Jewish speechwriter, David Frum, who put
the phrase "axis of evil" in George Bush's mouth to justify America's
ongoing war against Israel's enemies? Did you know that a clique of
Jews in the Defense Department and among George Bush's foreign policy
advisers are the people actually running the so-called "war on terror"
in Afghanistan: a war that they intend to expand to Iraq and any other
Middle Eastern country that gets uppity, in order to make that part of
the world safe for Israel at American expense? Secretary of Defense
Donald Rumsfeld is a front man for his nominal subordinates, Deputy
Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz and Deputy Undersecretary of
Defense for Policy Douglas Feith; and George Bush's official foreign
policy adviser, Condoleezza Rice, helps him meet his Black quota for
the Cabinet, but it is the Jew Richard Perle, chairman of Bush's
Defense Policy Board, who gives him his foreign policy directives.
As I've said on more than one occasion, George Bush is a feckless
nincompoop who couldn't come up with a defense policy or a foreign
policy on his own if he had to -- which is why he's President. The
real policymakers behind the scenes certainly don't want a man in the
White House who has ideas of his own, because those ideas might
conflict with theirs.
And it is nothing but empty sophistry to make a distinction between
Jews in Israel, such as Ariel Sharon and Simon Peres, and the Jews in
Mr. Bush's administration formulating his policies or the Jews
controlling our mass media. They all are Jews, and that's what really
matters.
There are many knowledgeable Americans besides me who think that it's
not a good thing to have Jews using America to advance Israel's
interests at the expense of America's interests. They know how the
system works: how the Jews exert their control through money and media
and a well-entrenched network of Jewish operatives, such as Wolfowitz
and Feith and Perle. And many of these knowledgeable Americans also
understand how Jewish subterfuge and deceit work: they understand that
the Jews throw up a lot of smoke to conceal their control and make it
appear that they have much less influence than they actually do.
Despite this degree of understanding that many knowledgeable Americans
have, there seem to be very few who are willing or able to draw the
necessary conclusions. What I keep seeing are comments about the need
to get the so-called "peace process" going again in the Middle East,
and how there are hardline supporters of Israel who are obstructing
the "peace process" because they think that it will give too much to
the Palestinians or will compromise Israel's security, or whatever.
These knowledgeable Americans seem to believe that if we could just
get around the Jewish hardliners somehow -- if we could just
neutralize Jews such as Wolfowitz and Feith and Perle; if Ariel Sharon
could be replaced by a "moderate" Jewish prime minister -- then the
"peace process" could proceed, America could gradually reduce its
involvement in helping the Jews keep the Palestinians repressed, and
eventually Israel no longer would be using America, and everything
would be rosy. And so these knowledgeable Americans expend all of
their wit and energy in these trivial pursuits.
Listen! Do you know what the most hopeful aspect of the conflict
between Jews and Palestinians is now? It is the ongoing radicalization
of the Muslim masses throughout the whole Middle East. The
collaborator governments in Pakistan, in Egypt, in Saudi Arabia are
terrified of the reaction they see among their own people to what
Ariel Sharon is doing to the Palestinians. When Sharon's Jewish troops
shoot Palestinian children, Muslim mobs riot, and governments that now
collaborate with the United States quake. Ariel Sharon is the best
thing that has happened in the Middle East in the last 54 years.
The Palestinian tactic of suicide bombing is being denounced by every
politician and every media spokesman over here now. It's nothing but
terrorism, they all say. There's no justification at all for suicide
bombing, they tell us. Of course, whenever you hear that sort of
unanimity from the politicians and the media people you should be
suspicious. In fact, suicide bombing is the best tactic for the
Palestinians to use now, because it provokes the Jews to step up
reprisals. And the reprisals radicalize the masses in every country in
the Middle East. If just one of the collaborator governments falls,
the spines of all the rest will be stiffened, and the Bush government
will be far less likely to find collaborators for building its
so-called "coalition" to do the will of the Jews in the Middle East.
Suicide bombers now hardly put a dent in the population of five
million Jews in occupied Palestine, and Sharon's bloody reprisals
hardly put a dent in the overall Palestinian population. But if
conflict of this sort continues until just one collaborator government
is overthrown, that ultimately will be worth more than ten thousand
successful suicide
bombings in which only 20 or so Jews are killed each time. In the long
run there can be no real peace in the Middle East and no end to
America's shameful role there -- and no future for the Palestinian
people -- as long as there is an Israel. There seems to be a better
understanding of these things among knowledgeable Palestinians than
among knowledgeable Americans.
Shallow thinking and the pursuit of trivial goals is even worse among
knowledgeable Americans when it comes to domestic problems. They
really do not want to grasp these problems with both hands and deal
with them in a forthright way. Look, for example, at what uncontrolled
immigration has done and is doing to America. And what do
knowledgeable Americans propose to do about that? Very little, really.
They make much of the fact that several of the al-Qaeda hijackers who
carried out the September 11 attack were in the United States only
because of very lax immigration policies, and so that's a good reason
for tightening up the policies.
How about simply rounding up all illegal aliens immediately -- all 12
million of them -- and booting them and all of their offspring out of
the country without further ado?
Oh, no, no, no! We can't do that! Why not? Well, the media never would
stand for it. The media would be all over anyone who even proposed a
mass expulsion of illegal aliens. They would denounce any political
leader who tried to do that as a "racist" and a "neo-Nazi." And so
knowledgeable Americans, who understand the immigration disaster quite
well, continue tiptoeing around it, afraid to do or even say anything
really significant about it: terrified even to think about really
radical solutions that might actually end the problem. And it's the
same with the rest of our domestic problems. Lots of people understand
these problems and are worried about them, but they won't tackle them
in any
significant way. They let the Jews -- the Jewish media and Jewish
money and the entrenched Jewish network -- have their way, for all
practical purposes.
Why? Why are the Jews permitted to get away with all of their
destructive policies and activities without being challenged or
opposed in any significant way? Part of the reason is that the Jews
are very powerful, and therefore many people are afraid to cross them.
They're afraid of the sort of media reaction I just mentioned in
connection with immigration. Everyone understands that the Jews stick
together and will viciously attack anyone who opposes them. It's the
old story, so aptly expressed by the late-16th-century writer, Sir
John Harington. Harington wrote: "Treason doth never prosper: what's
the reason? For if it prosper, none dare call it treason." Today the
Jewish power structure is
prospering, and none dare oppose it or even call it what it is. Well,
that's only part of the reason Jews are permitted to get away with so
much. There's more to it than that. There's a mystique the Jews have
built very carefully around themselves and nurtured diligently. It is
a mystique of piety and injured innocence. It is a mystique that says
to the Gentile world: "We are a gentle and inoffensive race, and
because of this everyone hates us. We're smart and we work hard and
achieve success, and because of this everyone hates us. We are a
highly moral and ethical race, and because of this everyone hates us.
We are a very talented race, with many gifted members, many geniuses,
and because of this everyone hates us. We are a very altruistic race,
a race of philanthropists who only want to make a better world for
everyone, and because of this everyone hates us."
Many simpletons among the lemmings simply accept these claims at face
value. Many knowledgeable people, however, who can see through these
claims to the real Jews hiding behind them, still hesitate to
challenge them. Part of the Jewish mystique is the so-called
"Holocaust." In its most simpleminded form the "Holocaust" story is
the claim that the
Germans hated the Jews for the reasons I just mentioned -- for their
gentleness and their success and their morality and their talent and
their altruism -- and because of this hatred roasted six million of
them during the Second World War in "gas ovens," to use one of the
Jews' favorite "Holocaust" phrases.
Actually, the "Holocaust" is a very powerful part of the Jewish
mystique. The Jews crafted the "Holocaust" story with great care and
great effort -- well, actually not with as much care as they might
have used: it's as full of holes as a Swiss cheese, but still it is
sufficient to make most people, even those who understand what Jews
are really like, hesitate to attack them. People don't want to be seen
as bullies. They don't want to be seen as so insensitive that they
would criticize the Jews, who already have suffered so much, poor
dears, at the hands of anti-Semites.
In several past broadcasts we've looked at a number of the lies and
exaggerations and distortions that make up the "Holocaust" story.
There are a number of good books available on the subject from the
sponsor of this broadcast, National Vanguard Books, including Norman
Finklestein's excellent book The Holocaust Industry, which I discussed
in an earlier broadcast. The point is that despite the lies, despite
the fact that many knowledgeable Americans are aware of the lies, the
"Holocaust" still serves its purpose for the Jews. People are afraid
of the image conjured up by the "Holocaust."
Perhaps it's that American life is too soft... Whatever the reason,
many otherwise knowledgeable and hardheaded Americans just can't
entertain the idea of rounding up the Jews and getting rid of them,
even when the situation is as urgent as it is in America today. And
really, in the long run that is the only way to solve the Jewish
problem.
The Germans understood that, back in the 1930s, and they had the
courage and the foresight to act on their understanding. Unlike
Americans today, they had an honest government concerned above all
with the survival, welfare, and progress of the German people, and
they began doing what was necessary, forcing the Jews to emigrate
wholesale from Germany beginning in 1933. And because of that the
Jewish propaganda machine has attacked the Germans so viciously, has
so blackened and demonized their image, that today even knowledgeable
people are afraid to be associated with that image. They are afraid to
say that the Germans were right, that the Germans were justified, and
that we need to do the same if we are to survive. So, as I said, the
"Holocaust" story, despite its
glaring discrepancies and lies, still serves as a shield for the Jews;
it still protects them from criticism.
Well, mostly. In parts of Europe not quite as poisoned by Jewish
propaganda as America is, the shield has slipped a bit. A large
British department store chain, Selfridges, has yielded to demands
from anti-Israel demonstrators and has removed from its shelves
products marked "Made in Israel." Last week the second largest
supermarket chain in Norway, Coop Norge -- which is to say, Norway
Coop, announced its decision to boycott all Israeli imports. That
decision was not the result of pressure from anti-Israel demonstrators
but was based on the feeling by Coop Norge management that it would be
immoral to continue supporting the Israeli economy by selling Israeli
imports under the
present circumstances. That is a step forward, though it is a long way
from what is needed.
The Jews, of course, immediately began waving their "Holocaust" story
around, and now, as the boycott movement catches hold in Scandinavia,
they are trying to portray themselves as injured innocents being
attacked once more by "anti-Semites." They are comparing the growing
Scandinavian boycott of Israeli products to the German boycott of
Jewish merchants in the late 1930s. Certainly, a boycott of Israeli
products is a good thing, and the fact that such a boycott is even
thinkable by big businessmen today is a sign that the Jewish mystique
-- and in particular the Jewish "Holocaust" story -- is becoming a bit
shopworn. It no longer has the hypnotic power that it once had -- at
least, in some parts of the world. And I suppose that we should be
happy about that. The unfortunate fact remains, however, that in
America the Jews still have their money and
their media and their entrenched network of bureaucrats, and even if
the "Holocaust" story has lost some of its charm in Europe, it still
keeps most knowledgeable Americans intimidated.
Knowledge isn't enough. Courage and boldness also are necessary.
Honesty and forthrightness are necessary also. Tiptoeing around the
critical issues of our time isn't enough. Tiny reforms in our
disastrous foreign policy and in our disastrous immigration policy and
in a dozen other disastrous policies aren't enough. We need to stop
apologizing to the people who are destroying us and go full bore at
destroying them instead.
Instead of being hypnotized by the "Holocaust" story we need to look
with clear eyes at why there was a need for action against the Jews in
Germany in the 1930s and 1940s. The Jews' claim today that the Germans
were suffering from collective insanity and had no reason for trying
to get the Jews off their backs is as phony as George Bush's claim
that
Osama bin Laden had no reason for attacking America on September 11.
Wherever Jews go they corrupt and destroy. That is their nature,
always and everywhere. Let us be thankful to the Palestinians who now
are making such terrible sacrifices to help the world see what the
Jews are like. And I suppose we also should be thankful to Ariel
Sharon for demonstrating so forthrightly to the world what Jews are
like.
Let us hope that the conflict between Jews and Palestinians
intensifies and lasts long enough to wake up many more of our people
around the world and fill them with disgust at America's continuing
support for the Jews. Let us hope that it lasts long enough to bring
about the overthrow of every collaborationist regime in the Muslim
world. Let us hope that it brings about an airtight oil embargo
against the United States and shuts off the lights in every shopping
mall and every sports stadium in America long enough for the lemmings
to become restless and begin asking questions. Let us hope that it
makes the efforts of every fool and every traitor who is striving for
a resumption of the so-called "peace process" so obviously futile that
these efforts no longer have the power to deceive anyone.
Ultimately, of course, we must not depend on the Palestinian suicide
bombers or on Ariel Sharon's murder squads to do for us what we should
be doing for ourselves. Ultimately we must stop tiptoeing and begin
marching boldly and forthrightly toward solving our own problems."

of the Reds in Spain. I have already emphasized the fact that the
marriage between Bolshevism and Democracy presents some uncanny
features; indeed one might call them downright perverse. In the
historical developement of its activities Democracy has more and more
become the political facade of World Capitalism. Bolshevism now
carries the democratic principle to its ultimate logical application.
We may call it the Democracy of Terror. It increases the pace of that
sanguinary and pitiless developement of which Liberalism had already
mapped out the path. I might illustrate this point by a rather drastic
comparison. In democracy leading heads were out-voted by the counting
of heads. In Bolshevism the same result is obtained by chopping off
heads with the guillotine. The result in both cases is the same. The
heads are wanting. The masses are robbed of their natural leaders and
left prey to international Jews, who are now free to exercise their
dictatorship by the employment of terrorization and money."

We had no idea of the danger that threatened us then. I myself did not
yet know Marxism well enough to foresee the possible consequences. I
shrugged my shoulders as I read the dark prose of the red press and
awaited expectantly the decisive evening.
Around 8 p.m. we drove in an old rusty car from the city center to
Wedding. A cold gray mist hung under a starless sky. Our hearts were
bursting with impatience and expectation.
As we drove down M�llerstra�e it was already clear that the evening
did not bode well. Groups of dark figures stood on every street
corner. They apparently planned to teach our party members a bloody
lesson before they even got to the meeting.
Dark masses of people stood outside the Pharus Hall, expressing their
rage and hate with loud and impudent threats.
The leader of the protective forces cleared a way for us and reported
briefly that the hall had been packed since 7:15 p.m. and had been
closed by police. About two-thirds of the audience were Red Front
Fighters. That was what we wanted. There would be a decision. We were
ready to give it all we had.
Entering the hall, we encountered a warm, stiffling aroma of beer and
tobacco. The hall was hot. A lively roar of voices filled the hall.
People were packed in tightly. We reached the podium only with
difficulty.
No sooner was I recognized than hundreds of voices filled with rage
and revenge thundered in my ears: "Bloodhound! Murder of Workers!"
Those were the mildest words they shouted. But a welcoming group of
some party members and S.A. Men answered with passion. Excited battle
cries sounded from the platform. I saw immediately that we were a
minority, but a minority determined to fight, and therefore win.
It was still our custom then for an S.A. leader to chair all of the
party's public meetings. Here too. Tall as a tree he stood up front
and asked for silence with his upraised arm. That was easier said than
done. Mocking laughter was the answer. Insults flew toward the
platform from every corner of the room. People growled and screamed
and raged. There were world revolutionaries scattered about who
apparently had gained the courage they needed by drinking. It was
impossible to quiet the hall. The class-conscious proletariat had not
come to discuss but to fight, to break things up, to put an end to the
Fascist specter with callused workers' fists.
We were not uncertain, even for a moment. We also knew that if the
enemy did not succeed this time in what he had threatened, the future
success of the movement in Berlin was assured.
Fifteen or twenty S.A. and S.S. men stood before the platform in
uniforms and arm bands, an impudent and direct provocation to the Red
Front Fighters. Behind me was a select group of reliable people ready
at any moment to risk their lives to defend me from the onrushing red
mob with brutal force.
The Communists made an obvious mistake in their tactics. They had
scattered small groups throughout the hall, but clumped most of the
rest in the right rear of the hall. I recognized immediately that
there was the center of unrest, and if anything was to be done, we
first had to deal ruthlessly with them. Whenever the chair tried to
open the meeting, a dark chap stood up on a stool and shouted "Point
of Order!" Hundreds of others yelled the same after him.
If one takes from the mass their leader or also their seducer, they
are leaderless and easily controlled. Our tactic therefore was to
silence this cowardly troublemaker at any cost. He felt secure back
there, surrounded by his comrades. We tried to do this peacefully a
few times. The chair shouted over the uproar: "There will be
discussion afterward! But we determine the rules of order!"
That was an ineffective attempt at an unsuitable object. The screamer
wanted to throw the meeting into confusion by his endless shouts and
bring things to the boiling point. Then a general melee would result.
As our efforts to bring the meeting to order peacefully proved
unsuccessful, I took the head of the defensive forces to the side, and
immediately after groups of his men slipped through the thundering
Communist masses. Before the astonished and surprised Red Front troops
realized what was happening, our comrades had hauled the troublemaker
down from his stool and brought him through the raging crowd to the
podium. That was unexpected, but what followed was no surprise. A beer
glass flew through the air and crashed to the floor. That was the
signal for the first major meeting hall battle. Chairs were broken and
legs ripped from tables. Glasses and bottles suddenly appeared and all
hell broke loose. The battle raged for ten minutes. Glasses, bottles,
table and chair legs flew randomly through the air. A deafening roar
rose; the red beast was set free and wanted its victims.
At first it looked as if we were lost. The Communist attack was sudden
and explosive, completely unexpected. But soon the S.A. and S.S. men
distributed throughout the hall and in front of the platform recovered
from their surprise and counterattacked with bold courage. It quickly
became clear that although the Communist Party had masses behind it,
these masses became cowards when faced with a firmly disciplined and
determined opponent. They ran. In short order the red mob that had
come to break up our meeting had been driven from the hall. The order
that could not be secured by good will was gained by brute force.
Usually one is not aware of the stages of a meeting hall battle. Only
later does one recall them. I still remember a scene that I will never
forget; on the podium stood a young S.A. man whom I did not know. He
was hurling his missiles into the on-coming red mob. Suddenly a beer
glass thrown from the distance hit him on the head. A wide stream of
blood ran down his face. He sank with a cry. After a few seconds he
stood up again, grabbed water bottle from the table and threw it into
the hall, where it clattered against the head of an opponent.
The face of this young man is engraved in my memory. This
lightening-fast moment is unforgettable. This gravely-wounded S.A. man
would soon, and indeed for all times, become my most reliable and
loyal comrade.
Only after the red mob had been driven howling, growling and cursing
from the field could one tell how serious and costly the battle had
been. Ten lay in their blood on the platform, most with head injuries,
two with severe concussions. The table and stairs to the platform were
covered in blood. The whole hall resembled a field of ruins.
In the midst of this bloody and ruined wasteland, our tree-high S.A.
leader resumed his place and declared with iron calm: "The meeting
will continue. The speaker has the floor."
Never before or since have I spoken under such dramatic conditions.
Behind me, groaning in pain and bleeding, were seriously injured S.A.
comrades. Around me were broken chair legs, shattered beer glasses and
blood. The whole meeting was icily silent.
We lacked then a medical corps. Since we were in a proletarian
district, we had to have our seriously wounded carried out by
so-called worker volunteers. There were scenes outdoors of
unimaginable inhumanity. The bestial people who were supposedly
fighting for universal brotherhood insulted our poor and defenseless
injured with phases like: "Isn't that pig dead yet?"
Under such conditions it was impossible to give a coherent speech.
Scarcely had I begun to speak when another group of volunteers entered
the hall to carry off a seriously wounded S.A. man on a stretcher. One
of them, encountering the brutal apostles of humanity outside the door
and their unflattering and crude language, shouted for me in
desperation. His voice could be heard loudly and unmistakably on the
platform I interrupted my speech and went through the hall, where
there were still scattered Communist commando groups. Still surprised
by what had happened, they stood quietly and shyly to the side. I bade
farewell to the seriously wounded S.A. comrades.

At this time, Denmark, formerly occupied by the Germans as a means
of denying the allies a North Sea bridgehead was bursting at the seams
with surplus food and was pleading with the allies to put it to good
