This is a request for help and a warning. I am having a real problem with
the Panasonic (i.e., Matsushita) Factory Service Center in South San
Francisco, California. Don't send your repair items there! I sent a
perfectly good VCR; it was returned in pieces--now they are dodging
responsibility (I am almost 100% sure it wasn't UPS's fault). Be warned.

How do you deal with a small potatoes (but important to me) issue when
facing off against a big company? I figure:

o Better Business Bureau
o local TV/Radio help show
o small claims court

Any other suggestions? ... tpst...@ucdavis.edu

Escalate within the company as well. Everyone has a boss and my finding is
that the higher up the ladder you go, the more reasonable the people become.

I think Joe has the best idea. The BBB can't do anything for you except get
contact between you and the company established. Panasonic/Matsushita is
a reputable company. You should be able to get hold of someone who gives a
damn. Work from the top down. Might take some time and phone calls, but
it's your best bet.
